I get both WTA by it self anf a few of the Tabaco flavors.I add 5% but every one is different. Some people vape it straight.I do get a more satisfying vape.If you want faster servise on custom orders go to vapelicious
Island - do you get the juice flavors, or just the plain concentrate and add it? How much do you add?

Also - you can use the flame from a gas stove if you have one. I make my wicks that way, haven't opened the microtorch I bought yet.

Dam A short again.I vape around 3 mg nic and wta. I like the warmpth at 3 wraps.Should I use different gauge wire?I see I can do it with 32 gauge.Again it must be the wick.None of the wraps are touching,The wick is not touching the bottom or top.I do have to keep it tilted to vape it.Bottom up so the juice will flow.

If the coil is loose enough you should be able to spin the wick in the very little force. I find that if I get a stubborn spot, I can twist the wick slightly (1/4 - 1/8 turn) and the short is gone. You will find that with the 3 coil wrap you will burn hot enough that shorts will appear from time to time until the wick is VERY worn in. After that it will last weeks and weeks needing nothing but new juice :)

I went through a very similar set of things when I was early on in my Genisis use. Keep following what I had posted as far as properly oxidizing and clearing shorts and one day, all of a sudden, it just clicks and you will make wicks and coils without thinking about it and they will work perfectly within 5 to 10 minutes. Keep at it, it won't be long now and you will be able to get consistent 3 wrap coils reliably going like freight trains. :)

Well after reading through this whole thread and otherS, I'm starting to feel I'm the next loft lol No offence dude but I'm totally feeling your pain from before! I read through your struggles and man am i there now lol Havent had one tasty hit off this thing yet, keep making wicks and tweaking coils but no dice yet. Your cloud video inspired me to not give up but man, what a frustrating journey so far.

Getting the coils to glow evenly has been a challenge, and at times when I think it's looking pretty good, the taste is still awful and harsh, and still with wimpy vapor. Time to take a break for a day or two I think.

I love how my one year vapeversary present has reduced me to a bumbling noob again lol.. Never had my ... handed to me by a mod before..

The mailman rang the doorbel and voila, my Katana arrived in perfect condition. I was totally prepared for it, everything setup and all the good tips and tricks from everybody made me already a theoretical expert. Made a coil which resulted in a perfect 2 ohm, no hotspots and vaping away in bliss. Needs to break in for a few tanks, but already getting a great experience. The 3100 AW IC fits perfect, not loose, no rattling and no misfires so far. Tried a 16350 but getting misfires all the time. Will not bother with it I think as I want the 18650 setup anyway. But wow this is a nice unit, very happy to have traded it!!

I still have issues from time to time. The best recommendation I can give you is make sure the wick is fully oxidized and DO NOT USE TAP WATER; I only use bottled water now when making up a wick. I have been using my Soldering arm tool to hold a 19ga needle, and I just drip juice - light on fire - drip - light - drip - light (I repeat the process until I can see that there are no light grey spots, only dark - like graphite)

I use 25mm x 40mm, 4/3 wraps, and it works fine now. I need to clean my NGP though as the juice got skunky :(

Yeah thanks for the tips man. I've already switched to bottled water, I've been oxidizing the hell out of my wicks, doing the drip/burn repeatedly, folding the cut edge, etc. The only thing I haven't tried is boiling the wick, but I'm 90% sure my prep would take care of any off taste or oils from manufacturing..

It seems to be wicking ok, it does the feed and drip thing while tilted and keeps up. I think my problem now is the coil or shorts. Even though my wick and coils look beautiful, they don't burn evenly and put off the harshest most horrible tasting vape lol... I know I'm missing something simple, really frusterating! How tight should the coil be on the wick? Are you wrapping clockwise or counter?

I can't wait to get this right!

Chinner that top of your wick is too long it is probably touching your mouthpiece and shorting it out and go thinner on your wick 15x40 then you will feel the difference, and fill it 3/4 of juice in the begging so it could breath, it needs air space, i was just like you my first genesis and in a week i got it rockin, I could get a coil in a min and rock it in 5 min you'll get the hang of it keep at it

For some reason I can never get 15x40 to work for me. But yes, definitely cut the wick down so it's roughly at the top of the electrode, and then use a needle to open the tip of it.
