Your coil looks a little tight. Can you spin the wick at all without it becoming deformed?
Uh .... I would cut all the xtra off the top #1 .... does it hit the inside of your cap? I think that could cause problems if it does.
No space between the coil and the wick - but not strangling it either. Gently resting on the wick is the best way i can describe it. If you can pull the wick OUT while the coil is wrapped, and the coil is unmolested, then that's a good wrap.
if you have too many problems take the wick out get a new coil about 5 to 6 inches long and burn the coil withe the lighter 3 times then take the paper clip run it threw the wick then wrap your coil and the put it in, then thigh the bottom nut first then your top nut don't cut the extra coil yet keep them away from each other put the battery in make your adjustments first when you are ready the cut them offYeah I've been trying to keep them fairly tight, I can't spin the wick freely without the coil moving. Im going to try a looser one next. Does the coil need to be against the wick or can there be any space?
Chinner - no space ... I use a paper clip down the center of my wick to hold it steady when I wrap mine. Keeps the wick from getting crimped or bent also.
Keep at it you will get it i promise you, you will succeedYeah Ive been using a syringe tip for that. I think my struggle is with the coil tightness from what you guys are saying. The perfect balance like loft said where it's touching but only slightly so the wick will move freely.
Going for another attempt, bbl. thanks eveyone for giving me a hand here.
Chinner that top of your wick is too long it is probably touching your mouthpiece and shorting it out and go thinner on your wick 15x40 then you will feel the difference, and fill it 3/4 of juice in the begging so it could breath, it needs air space, i was just like you my first genesis and in a week i got it rockin, I could get a coil in a min and rock it in 5 min you'll get the hang of it keep at it
