Non invasive AV check.
I just made a test order at Myvaporstore, which uses Veratad. I got through checkout without a hitch. Right below the "buy" button was:
Age Verification:
We have partnered up with Veratad Technologies, a world class provider of online/real-time Identity Verification and Knowledge Based Authentication Solutions to ensure all customers meet the legal smoking age of the state in which they reside. All orders are filtered through Veratad's AgeMatch Age Verification Service.
If we are unable to verify your age, we will contact you for further verification or ship your order with adult signature required service. Adult signature shipments require an adult 21 years of age with a government issued ID to sign for the package.
I would have rather seen this info before I placed my order.
Now I'll wait and see how long it takes to receive an email asking for verification or a shipping email.
If my order goes through without requiring verification then I'm golden but I will be checking with vendors before I place my order to see what their AVP is. Inconvenient but doable.
I placed an order yesterday with My Freedom Smokes. I don't know what AV they used, definitely not Blue Check. I was just asked for my Name & address as it appears on a government issue ID. No phone number SSN or anything else. I did encounter a hitch though I thought might be helpful to others. When I put in all my current correct info, I was told they were unable to verify my identity. I was given the option to upload my Drivers license. I didn't want to do that. I then read why the software may not be able to verify me. If I had recently moved, married, divorced etc I was asked to try the old information that didn't appear on my license. I divorced almost two years ago, and immediately legally took my former name back. Again, almost two years ago. I tried the AV again with my former married name, success! Obviously outdated info. But other than that hassle free. My order is on the way.

Try this: Double secret, unobtrusive, non-invasive, undetermined, invisible and quite probably legal and above board verification system in use. Maybe. That makes sense and creates less clutter on the list. I'll go with that

Here is the revised compiled list so far:
Thank you...added to list.
In response to an inquiry of a new.2.me vendor as to which system they use ( bluecheck- Veritad), they replied "We use an EVS system"
Meaning they don't want to name them now??
by viewing the source code on their site.

Thank you. I didn't see anything about BlueCheck on their website. Did you see this before or after you checked out?
How about "No apparent change, could be using something invisible to us." Anybody?
I'd just leave it at Unknown
Two reasons for the tag.
If they are using something, it implies that we don't know the method being used.
If they aren't using something, it doesn't imply they're not.
Getting a bit wordy....
No apparent change / undetermined ?

Some people don't live in an area that makes it easy for them to travel to the post office (on the off chance that they are not home to sign for the item) to pick up said item.I think the FDA is going to have lots of fun sorting all this out.
I still don't understand why all vendors just don't ship with adult signature required. No third parties involved and no need for threads like this. It would seem the simplest and cheapest way to verify age. Am I missing something? I'm sure some will let me know.![]()

I don't think a one size fits all will ever work. I do feel like people should be given the CHOICE to pick the one that works best for them.
But then....we know how the government is about people having choices.... they don't like it.![]()

Possibly. I'd kind of like to get away from "no change" but say the same thing. My vocabulary isn't that good so I got nothing.
