Considering the FDA is now requiring it, it should be assumed that EVERY US based e-cigarette company is doing or will soon be doing checks.

Well, you know the saying about assuming anything. But I would like to have a choice if I want to be subjected by any vendor to any AV company who has in their business model the 'rights' to sell my info to third parties for their company profits.

Meaning they don't want to name them now??

It could just mean the person answering the email has no idea what they actually use. It might not be a deliberate attempt to not disclose the information.

If we cannot verify your age during checkout you must manually verify your age.

For Manual Verification will need to provide:

• Birthday
• Last 4 Digits of your Social Security Number
• ID Upload

I have ordered from a Veratad using site (MVS) and I didn't have to enter last 4 of SSN because they were able to verify via public records.

@tmcase just placed a order with ecig-city.com, I am not a new customer with them, but was nothing new at checkout, so can add them to the list as a 'unknown'

I placed an order yesterday with My Freedom Smokes. I don't know what AV they used, definitely not Blue Check. I was just asked for my Name & address as it appears on a government issue ID. No phone number SSN or anything else. I did encounter a hitch though I thought might be helpful to others. When I put in all my current correct info, I was told they were unable to verify my identity. I was given the option to upload my Drivers license. I didn't want to do that. I then read why the software may not be able to verify me. If I had recently moved, married, divorced etc I was asked to try the old information that didn't appear on my license. I divorced almost two years ago, and immediately legally took my former name back. Again, almost two years ago. I tried the AV again with my former married name, success! Obviously outdated info. But other than that hassle free. My order is on the way.
