Are you tightening the pins down too much....You don't wanna clamp them down too tight....Maybe your cutting the connection. I tried holding on the end of the wire when tightening them down and found the it's better to push the wick side while tightening, once you see the end of the wire rise up....stop tightening and cut the excess off. Use the scissor to cut it off, wiggling the wire does not work so good on this RA.

Hildicat and Darrel, thank you - I tried a 1.6ohm wrap with a vertical(ish) cotton wick, wrapping the top leg around the screw instead of trying to thread it through the post, and it made a WORLD of difference. vaping like a freight train now, I'm getting the best hits off the Chalice yet. Breakthrough moment for me, and it's thanks to you guys. vape on!

I finally got a little time today and tried your setup, but at 1.28, and it is rocking hard!

Is anyone here left handed? Just wondering...digging for answers...

Oh and one registered 2.5 and the other one 2.0ohms.

There might be a Chalice in the classies soon

I'm left handed. That second one looks pretty good. Take a tooth pick and stick the point into the coil closes the post at the top of the picture, pull it out away from the post. Make sure it is also not touching the bottom. Glowing only near the posts means that the coil is grounding on something in the middle of the coil.

BTW, you mean glowing while the wick is dry right? If the coil is glowing while the wick is wet, then you need to kinda spread the wick a bit so that it wets that part of the coil.

Keekers on the first one it looks like the coil is touching the post and on the second one the leg going to the bottom post on the picture is too long and will give you hotspot . Trying getting that leg further in to the post and screw it down and then make sure that none of the coils are touching either posts, Move it around with a little screwdriver until its where you want it because everything else about that coil and wick looks like it should work. Good luck. .

yes Keekers all looks good except your coils should not be touching the posts. Just the end of the coil wire should be in contact with the post. other than that they look good so dont give up on them use a toothpich or the likes and adjust the coils away from the posts and you should be good to go :)

I will try that. I have been squonking like I was trying to flood an atty let off and vape

WOW Havana in the face flavor LOL

I will say this atty Rocks. Good flavor all day every day.

Something I have noticed:

I usually burn my attys hot, some times to hot LOL but that being said, over time I find a layer of carbon or old burnt juice at the bottom of my bottle. I usaly wash out the bottle and grab a new one at least every other fill up.

With this atty I do not get any of that. Clean juice all the way through. I burn it hot, I can get it to crackle LOL like a 510 atty :)

Keep forgetting to say when squonking with the chalice on a Reo if you put finger over air hole you will feel when the juice reaches the coil :D

Here's a YouTube link of the Chalice (not in english) but I think it will be help.

Chalice repairable atomizer bottom feeder - YouTube

Thank you for posting this. It was very helpful in showing me how to adjust my squonk technique.

I've been thinking of myself as the "stranger in town" because I just wasn't feeling the love for the atty. After watching the video I realize I was starving it by trying too keep from flooding. After seeing how he squonked a bunch of liquid and it would drain back down quickly, I am getting a lot better results.

I'm still really surprised how tight the draw is though. With the side hole, I was expecting it to be more "airy." It's not my wick placement--I've switched to a vertical SS wick and it still seems tight.

But again--thanks for posting the link!

Take the Chalice off the PV and take a draw to see if it's not tight anymore. It just may be the way it's siting on the PV(but probably not since the air hole is up above), or check to see if the air hole is plugged.
On my Chalice, which is on a Reo Grand it's not tight but not too "airy". For the time being I'm using the wick and coil that came installed in it. I'll rebuild it with a new silica wick and coil in a couple weeks.

Oh, I don't believe there is anything wrong with the Chalice (air hole is clear, etc) I started with a silica wick and thought that might be the issue with placement. But, I am getting the same draw with a vertical SS. So, it is just a matter of my preference. My normal atty is a Cisco 510, and this is just tighter than that. But, since I've change my squonk method, I am getting a lot more vapor and flavor. So, it is just a matter of getting used to the Chalice.

I'm not sorry in the least that I purchased it. It just isn't quite what I expected :)
