Sandy, you look bee-yoot in that dress.

Mookie your little one drinking milk out of a glass is so sweet! She reminds me a lot of Loli as a kitten:

lolibasket.jpg

Funny cat story: I once noticed that Loli would come into the kitchen every time I'd prepare anything containing Parmesan cheese. I turned my back for a moment and there she was gnawing at the block of cheese. So I figured since she liked it so much I'd get some for her to sprinkle on her food. But not the same expensive imported Reggiano I use... I got her a little green shaker of the Kraft ersatz Parmesan.

She wouldn't touch it:facepalm:

Scarfy, as long as we're on the subject of Aussies, how come y'all are so danged good at American accents?! True Blood, for one example. Sookie's brother Jason is the hottest hillbilly Aussie I ever did see.

And a bunch of country singers that sound like their from Nashville are all Aussies. What's with that?

Probably because they all watch heaps of American movies and TV LOL.

Seriously though, the correct answer is probably "necessity". They all want jobs in Hollywood so they learn the accent well. Guy Pearce, Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Anthony LaPaglia, Judy Davis, Eric Bana, Hugh Jackman, the late Heath Ledger...I could go on. They all have perfect American accents.

And all y'all, well not YOU, but all the Brits and Aussies make fun of the way WE do their accents. I mean, you do know that we think all Englishmen talk like D ick Van .... did in Mary Poppins.

I love that flick. Really love it. But that accent was an atrocity.

As for me, I've lived here 9 years and still sound like I stepped off the streets of Manhattan. Which I did LOL. I can fake Aussie accent for short stretches of time but it tires me out:) I can also now tell the difference between Aus and NZ accents. I couldn't before.

When we first got Rocky he was sick and wouldn't eat either. Had to do the syringe feeding every few hours around the clock for the first few days. It was like having a newborn again. Then he had to go into the vets for iv fluids a couple of times. I don't remember now what was wrong but he was fine within a week. He is now huge and wants to eat constantly.

Roz is growing so fast. Why can't they stay small and adorable! She is so full of energy and spunk. Poor Rocky has been trying to stand his ground but doesn't have a chance with this spunky kitten and her sharp claws. She is even keeping Lars (our dog) in his place. He wants to play with her so bad but she won't have any of it. She just swipes at his nose and he retreats.

Sandy, you look so lovely in your dress and vaping away. I like the purple set up also. Glad the wedding went well and you had a nice time.

I'm getting ready to go into work. This afternoon shift is weird. It's nice to be able to sleep in but strange going into work in the afternoon when it's the time you are used coming home from work.

We thought we'd have to go sub q with Squirt early on...she impacted twice which scared the living sheep out of me! She's probably going to remain small. We also are probably taking in another foster kitten in the next few days. We're not even sure if it's a boy or girl but my mama cat (who's never had kittens) will just jump in an love on it :)

Just like her mama:)

BTW hi Daisy!

Hihi! I just got my very first pashmina today and omg I'm so in love and if a cat comes near it I'll cry, lol! It's cream colored wool with pink trim...it's soooo soft! I'm not usually a scarf person, but I'm so in love!

Good morning all. I was just about to ask about you Charlie. Glad you are home safe and sound. Time to catch up on some rest now.

Glad Diana let us know she would be away. Hope the move goes smoothly. Gee, I hate moving! I moved a zillion times when I was young I was a pro at it but I didn't have much more than my clothes to worry about. As an adult it's a major pita.

I've got to start packing for Vapercon today. Never been to one of these conventions but I'm assuming it is super casual. Jeans and a t-shirt? I get the feeling even a nice blouse would be considered dressed up. At least I don't have to worry about running out of vaping supplies!

I love the English accent. My daughter has a little crush on Jeremy Brett from Sherlock Holmes. She is quite a good artist. Here is a charcoal pic she drew of him:
