As for the atomizer cover - when these things are produced there are some tolerance shifts, - i havent had this problem you mention, nor do i see it happening with the 10 units i have- however, it COULD be that you have one of those that "slipped" by, and have a smaller tolerance - and then you drop it which ofcourse enhances that problem.
My suggestion would be to clean both connectors, - the cover and the eGo, thoroughly, to ensure no dirt/metal fragments are caught. If you have dropped it, it could very well have chipped a bit, and that could be why it feels stuck when you screw it in.
