Would you Like to see the eGo with color options

  • Yes, I would buy a colored ego over what is available right now.

  • No, I am satisfied with the current options.

Of course, one could argue that it was the carto that was responsbile, and that whoever sold you that one should pay for the damage it did …
(Well, unless things like this are handled very differently in the US.)

Alex.... I don't disagree with you. It's one of those situations where component A is attached to component B. Component A fails and damages component B. It's certainly the "fault" of component A. While the other little voice squeakily says "component A fails all the time.. component B should be designed to withstand that..."

I "wish" the eGo/Tornado handled an atomizer short in a more elegant manner. But I'm not going to flog Janty/Joye over the fact that it doesn't.

I have been reading this battery dilemma, and the more I read, I also, am wondering if it is the charger? When the problem is solved I hope it is posted for all EGO and Tornado users.......

The charger certainly wasn't the issue with the 4 batteries that I have had fail. Can't speak for the others.

Maybe Mik could fix that when he fixes the button, which could maybe be a little more recessed, so it's trouser-pocket-safe. :D

Both of the automatic Ego batteries that came in my set fried yesterday. It was really odd. I was using one when it just came on and fried the atty attched to it, so I hooked up a new atty to the other battery and within 5 mintes it did the same thing. Both batteries seem to charge up ok still, but they are both self activating now and seem to fry the charge within a few minutes. I am going to contact Janty tomorrow. I am just not sure if I trust replacements.

I have had 3 go bad already and it hasn't even been 3 weeks. The first 2 hours of use one of my batteries wouldn't turn off. I got a replacement. The replacement kept cutting off on my in about 5 seconds. I received a replacement. The one original battery that was good when I got it wouldn't fire anymore but the light turned on. I will be returning that this week for a replacement. This is getting to be really really ridiculous! I've never had an e-cig that I've had to use the warranty so much. (Thank goodness for the warranty) Other than all my problems I absolutely love how it vapes but is it worth it?

Now that is the question I ask myself.

I will be the first to say that I love how my Janty product's work, that is when they did work or when I am not waiting for a warranty replacement part.

The fit and finish and vaping quality are top notch... the battery life of the eGo is amazing, when they work.

I ordered 2 eGo kits, 1 auto ego battery and 2 spare dura/Ego atty's and out of that I have the chargers, 1 manual battery and 2 atty's...

I am thinking for my well over 200.00 I could have spent it more wisely now, and I think that due to the amount I have had go bad, I should be compensated a bit for my trouble, almost 9 bucks to ship it all back, that is 10% of the purchase price that I am now over due to a faulty part...

:-x

I will try them, but if I get another faulty part, or another battery that craps it's self, you will see my ego set's go up for sale.

**EDIT: By Mik, we do NOT allow discussion, or referrals of other vendors on this forum. This is a general rule all forums have ( all business forums )...read the rules please.

Oh, I only had to contact Ethan once when I received my order and one of my auto batteries was missing from the order. turns out he was sick, but got back to me and sent the missing item right out. Whenever I had questions about Janty products, my emails were always answered. I hope all is well and things will get back on track again. The Janty eGo has really stepped things up a bit in the ecig world. And we're still waiting for the Tesla and the Baby J.

I originally sent a PM to the OP because I didn't want to seem like I was harping on a product, however, eh.. this seems to be a *very* common issue.

Makes me very sad that people would continue to sell a product with some sort of defect in the manufacturing stage. It's hit or miss, literally.

Both of my Tornado(eGo) battery buttons stick. One of them I am afraid to use because the button gets stuck *down*. I am out of warranty with TW. I know this is a Janty thread, however, same product really.

As I said before, if I had known about Janty's warranty being better, I would have ordered from them instead. Also from what I am reading, Janty has been good about taking care of their customers when something is wrong. Again though, why continue to sell something that is so obvious in having a defect?

mmkeebler, there were really not much e-cigs around if they only sell those that are 100% proof to make no problems, every single e-cig has its problems including the mods.

so this would leave us with 0 vaping devices. the joye devices are at least in the general very good devices, and for me it always seems that janty strives to fix things if they get the chance to. i have 5 ego batteries and one from TW ( 1st delivery was bad btw. ) and i would get very very angry if i wouldn't be able to get new batteries because a few duds.

I can understand a few duds, but where I had 2 attys go out and 4 batteries, (2 Full kits) and then I am told I have to ship them back, and then wait for replacements after they verify the contents I shipped back after dropping over 200 bucks...

I have purchased computers costing in excess of 3k and when I had a issue the company cross shipped me a replacement no questions asked.

I guess I am just use to a higher level of professionalism and customer service...

I really do not think I got very good customer service, I had issues with the 2 kisssbox's I got from DietSmokes.com, and Parker jumped right on it, expressing me the replacements, throwing in two free atty's as a extra "Hey sorry about that" bonus... Wow Parker is customer service!

I know I will get replacements and pray that they do not die as the previous units did. I know that there is a level of defect in any product, but the difference between keeping a customer and having them explore their options all boils down to how you deal with them and what you are willing to do to make things right.

I know that I like Janty products, I love the idea of their warranty, but if they do not have replacement parts what good is a warranty if they are unable to fulfill their commitment to their customers for a month or longer?

When I use to run warranty service for a local computer shop, if I was out of a product and unable to fulfill my commitment, I would call the customer and let them know that we did not have the replacement, and asked them if they would like a substitution (Of at least equal or greater value) if they did not want a substitution I would offer a official extension of their warranty period to make up for our lack of availability". I had more people tell me that I restored their faith in our product and service and most were happy to accept a extension of their warranty.

If the product's I receive are in good working order and do not eat them selves shortly after receiving them, my confidence in Janty may be restored, but where I have not even received a response from Ethan nor Mik in this thread to my safety questions, my faith in Janty products is wavering...

100% isn't what I meant.) Just appears that the issues with the battery seems a problem. A rework for the button might be a nice thing, option to turn in older batteries with the button issue. Eighty dollars is a lot of money on something that breaks almost out of the box.

Before I open a ticket over carts, just curious. What's up with these carts I got in the Ego kit? Are they for a different, slimmer e-cig I haven't seen yet & were accidentally packed in the wrong kit or is this a manufacturer screw up? I'm really kind of curious, not that I need any more carts, but at $80 a pop,I figure I should get what I pay for.
The picture shows a normal 510 cart with the mouth plug removed with one of the prefilled carts from my new Ego Kit pushed inside it.I did this to show the difference in the two. As you can tell, it goes all the way up to the juice block.

And of course, the cart won't stay in the atomizer unless you push it in too far,as you can see I did, melting the tip of the cart.

So do I need to open a ticket to get the carts replaced,do I PM ya,email you?

Thanks,
NB
