Micro Coil for the RBA on your REO

I've read a lot of posts where someone is using their other mods that have displays on them for testing. I was looking at some of those - with the readouts - last June, and then decided to go right to the Reo instead, so I don't have anything else except for my ego batteries and clearos.

I already had it when I got the reo. It was broken and I didn't really care but when the rm2 came I opened it up, broke out the tools and fixed it just to check my work. Lol. The reo is the way. I can't wait to get one of those little ohm checker boxes!

If it always settles to the same ohms, it's ok, just let it settle on the rm2 and minus that. If it's a different number every time, then worry.

Crappy photos I know but all I got is a phone and a crappy one at that.

Yeah. Mine was similar, but a bit longer and tapered like a cone. It worked just fine, but the vape wasn't anything worth the annoyance of making the coil.

Quick question.... I was vaping some unicorn blood for a day, switched flavors. Was still tasting the unicorn blood so I stripped and washed everything. Wrapped a new coil, rewicked. Still tasting hints of it. Is there something I should try or do to get rid of lingering tastes?

A lot of flavor gets stuck in the drip tip. I sometimes wash out a flavor I didn't like, and then, it's still there! . . . Doh, drip tip.

He wasn't happy with VTF on this one. I suggested he snip the wick in the front but he just tore it out and made the "Tricoder" (see next post).

He liked this one better but not better that a regular micro. So he tore this one out and replaced it with his prefered 30ga 9/8 wrap 1.8 oHm micro on a #50 drill bit for the VV grand/RM2.

If my coil is below .6Ω, I have to pull the brass shim or my lungs dessicate.

I've changed all my RBAs back to 30 ga Kanthal A1 wrapped using the darkzero coil jig .055" music wire. Perfect 2.3 ohm micros that heat up in a heartbeat to the perfect temp for me. I like the 27 because of its thickness / burliness factor but let's face it, I'm not a sub ohm dude, so It's really over kill for me in that it isn't even all the way heated up before I'm done hitting.

here is my build of 28g dual micro coils with metering out at a .8 ohm coil. Its 9 wraps on each coil.

Gotta agree about the sub ohms with ya SXD and TNT, I tried ONE below 1 ohm and wasn't my thing... 1.1 is really the lowest I ever think I'll need to go.... I still use 30g as well as my 28g kanthal... really depends on what I'm going to be rocking as the ADV on my REO that day.

As far as subohm goes, as long as the folks that DO love it and use it know what they're doing, more power to 'em, y'know? I do get scared when someone in the New member forums tells some guy looking to upgrade off his cigalikes that they should be subohming...
