Just bought a MVP 2 from the local B.& M. I have been playing with for a couple of hours now. Man what a difference from a visions spinner.
Put on my nautilus Mini and WOW.

That"s all for now
Woodhippy.

Yeah I still have my original Evods as a 'backup' but man, when the MVP needs to be charged and I pull those things out they just do NOT cut it anymore.. They were fine when I started but seriously once you move up, theres no going back! I cant even use my Evod tanks on it anymore, they just arent the same as my Protank even with my microcoils in em.. I actually wanna PIF my Evod kit to someone that wants to get started but I gotta wait til I get a 'backup' MVP (or my first mod even)..

Am leaving for hospital now - UGH, it's so early...

Saw the Ortho today,(one week post-op) I can start PT in a week, and I can slowly start using it more. Not like the last one where I couldn't do anything for 2 months.

Right now I am trying to type with both hands and am getting 'twinges' as I type. It boggles me when I compare a shoulder 'scope' to a knee 'scope; with a knee scope, take it easy for a day or two, and then life is normal - but the shoulder. we're talking 3-4 months of rehab.

I was able to do the PIF and get my son that is staying with us off analogs. 2 weeks for him now. And they are still close. He is eyeing my MVP. But he will have to get his own.

Sorry to hear that... can we measure your healing by the speed at which you wind new coils? j/k
The hands are too shot to even think about working with small stuff, but youcan tell by my typos I bet :)
Hope you heal quickly and completely Peter.
Thank you for the kind thought, as that is my hope too!

You know, the other day I did something I havent done in awhile. I rewicked my Russian, dropped in some juice, and set it to 9 watts. Usually I take a few drags at 9.5 watts then bump it up to 10.5, and usually even with Rayon I will get a best of 2 tanks (3 if no flavoring in juice and high in pg). This time, I left it at 9 watts. Im on my third refill without rewicking, and im just now having to bump it up to 9.5 watts. Its still hitting great.

I think in my zealotry to have a great vape ive been screwing myself; perhaps running a higher wattage (on a coil that "cant handle it") just ends up burning juice onto the coil itself, and thus shortly requires the coil to be "burned off." If youre running a dual coil build (especially 30 gauge or larger wire) you prolly need all the watts you can get out of the MVP, but if like me youre running single coils that are reasonably small (30 guage 7 wraps 16 guage luer needle 1.4 ohm in my case) high wattage might be a bad thing.

Just throwing my thoughts out there in case anyone else has been dealing with short coil/wick life. I find this is twofold with cotton (mistakingly set MVP to 10.5 watts like I did with Rayon and by half a tank it was barely hitting)- rayon is more forgiving. Try turning the watts down and see how it pans out for you...

It will all be so much better once you heal up though- shoulder stuff sucks.

Im 30 so it hasnt got to me yet, but I see a possible shoulder surgery in my future. Whenever I work out my shoulders are definitely the hardest thing for me to see gains on; my right shoulder sort of clicks if I go too high on weight. This might be due to a motorcycle crash I had riding in the dirt, but im not sure (my right shoulder hurt like hell for a few days afterwards). Anyways, I have to approach adding weight much more conservatively with my shoulders than any other part of my body, and I can guess eventually the clicking will get worse :(

I can imagine the frustration though- whether we realize it or not our shoulders come into play almost everywhere in life. The only thing I can think of that would be worse is having hand problems or arthritis...

I knew it would happen, I was told it would happen !!!! I didn't expect it to happen within a week tho !!!!

I am addicted to my Magma lol so addicted I went and bought a mech to go with it... It's so bad that my i clear has needed a coil change for 3 days I can't see the point in doing it my nautilus is receiving disappointing looks from my eyes as it just can't keep up with the magma even the beloved, trusty, reason I gave up the cancer sticks MVP is only being charged every other day ( previously every day cos I was using it so much)

hahaha, told ya , welcome to the fold :D

went thru the same exact thing, believe it or not your MVP will still get plenty of use....out of all my regulated devices i still pick up the MVP w/my Carto Tank when i head out the door, it's so convenient just grab-en-go.

It's in my hand as we speak lol Stupidly forgot to pick up some rebuilding supplies when I bought the Magma so am waiting on some stuff to arrive in the mail lol Coil has gone from 1.4 to 2.4 in under a week of using it which I wasn't expecting so once the batteries in my nemesis go down a bit it doesn't fire right away :(

something is wrong with the coil or coils, shouldn't be that much of a change.......see if the screw posts are tight.

Guys, something weird is happening to my MVP. Yes, the battery is almost out, but lately when using the KF 3.1 the button green light stays lit for a couple more seconds. I check but it doesn't say short, stays reading the current ohms, 1.2 in this case. I adjusted the pin but it's not good, doesn't vape. I'm switching to the gripper for the time being, but this is strange... Maybe something is loose on the build? Have never touched it, and I make sure before cutting the wire leads that the ohms are stable, and they are!

GLAD to see you back. I hope you heal well and your shoulder is as good as new. Yep, that 3-4 months of rehab is pretty much the game plan for everyone. I ran into an old friend a couple daya ago that was in my neck of the woods visiting his sister. He injured his shoulder and went thru the standard rehab a little over a year ago. He told me that even after that LONG rehab his shoulder was not back to where he felt comfortable trusting it for many things, that he felt it might fail and he'd be facing another injury and returning to rehab. Then he told me about a good rehab plan he stumbled on about 5 months ago on the internet. He bought the program information from a guy who specializes in sports injuries, its a book plan, all laid out in specific strengthening sequences. Anyway, long story short, he tells me he did this program and his should is now better than new, and his other shoulder has also gained more viability and strength. I don't have the link handy, but if you are interested I can look it up and give it to you. Meanwhile, follow the rehab plan and get well.

Decided to re-coil and new wick the magma, what a nightmare lol but for a first attempt it ain't too bad nowhere near what I wanted tho was aiming for a 1.2ohm ended up with 1.6 think its 6wraps of 0.25mm kanthal around a 2mm drill bit but as I only have 15mm 20mm and 25mm wire right now thought that was my best bet need to go get some more wire lol

Well, my new nauti tank arrived today, and I think it looks awesome on my mvp2! I'd like to get a decent tip for it, any suggestions? I kinda like the diamond carved look, seen one or 2 that would sit nicely on top but can't find 'em in the UK... ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414772183.261954.jpg
