Never used the Nautilus but after going from Protank 2s to a KFL 2 days ago, WOW.. I still don't have the wicking quite right, so the PTs are still putting out more flavor, but the vape in general is like WHHHHOOOOOAAAA!

Well, different power/watts will give a different taste to a juice. Different tanks as well as different mods will also give a different taste to a juice.

As someone who's tried dozens of tanks including the KF's, Russians, drippers, smok, nauts, and a bunch of others... not to mention a half dozen or so mods... I always come back to the I30. Out of all of them, still my favorite.

Remember, if you find something that's just perfect for you... you can't improve on perfection.

What some folks forget is what is perfect for one, may not be even tasty to another. I love my Silo with BVC coils (1.8) at 4v - but to many other folks that won't be very good. If it's a 'hobby' to you, then you keep trying new stuff all the time, but if you're vaping to not smoke, find what you like, and stop right there and be content :)

Does the MVP have enough power for a dual coil with the 1 ohm limitation on the MVP? I picked up an Orchid V4 and perhaps can benefit from someone elses experience before I try a build. Thanks.

Just keep the resistance above 1.2 or so and you will be fine. You don't want to go bellow one and personally I think 1.2 probably stresses the battery less. Roll yourself a couple of 2.4 ohm coils and you should be fine.

Again, I'm asking the question, nobody answered and maybe it got lost. When I use my KF at 1.2 ohms the switch light stays green for a while, not in all presses, as if there was a short. But I put it into any other mod and it fires beautifully. I'm missing the MVP with the KF.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? My first two micrcoil books on my PT 1 & 2 worked beautifully, the last three worked great for about an hour, then the draw gets super tight and I sometimes get juice in my mouth. They've done this with rayon and cotton both...

I have tried dual coil builds on my russian with 32 gauge wire, and even at 11 watts I just could not get the coil to heat up fast enough for my preference. On the MVP I find that a single coil 30 gauge is about my favorite, but this will vary according to preference. The biggest problem with dual coils is the thermal mass that exists; the more metal that exists, the longer it takes a given wattage to heat the coil up, and thus the longer it takes to start delivering a good vape. Even 28 guage single coils are too slow for my preference due to thermal mass.

I have an eleaf istick on the way, so Ill see if 20 watts is enough for a decent dual coil build. That said I might just use 28 guage wire and make a single coil. The MVP will get paired with my Protank2 and the istick to the Russian- I think that will give me a perfect combo. I have been using the MVP2 for 6 months straight and decided I really needed a backup APV, especially with the recent smattering of MVP problems on this thread (mine has been great so far tho). The ileaf is cheap enough to try in the interim before the MVP 3 comes out, which I will undoubtedly buy if its not too expensive.

Ive had this in the past. The size of the flavor wick on the top is important. If its too small/not there, the coil will flood over time, at which point the airhole gets blocked by juice. This of course tightens draw and leads to juice in the mouth.

The Protank is much harder to maintain an airy draw with than something like a Kayfun. You want the coil as high as you get get it in the coil-cup (to get it off the bottom hole) while still being able to get the cap/chimney on. The further off that hole you can get, the better your airflow past the coil. Also, make sure the chimney doesnt get "plugged" by the flavor wick you lay across the top of the coil. Its been my experience that you dont want too many wraps either- the more coil that exists in the cup, the tighter the draw. As a result, I shoot for 1.2-1.4 ohm 30 guage or 1.6-2.0 ohm 32 guage coils. Does all of this make sense? Apologies if im not clear about this.

Id be happy to put up a quick youtube vid for how I build my protank coils, though I doubt youd need it.

**EDIT** Also make sure you put the silicon "cover" on after installing the chimney cap. That can cause flooding in some cases as well.

My MVP 2 was running strong as a backup to my mech until this weekend. I put a basic Nautilus Mini BVC on and I get 0.0 on the Ohm readout. If I unscrew the tank about half way out of the 510, it picks it up at the proper resistance which allows it to fire. Not sure what is wrong at the 510, but I can't use it anymore if I have to unscrew my tank halfway. Tried multiple different tanks, same. Weird.

if i remember my rubber adhesive pieces came with an electronic device, yet i'm sure they or something like it can be found at the store.....i use a pistol type grip on my MVP and all i have to do is lay my thumb against the button w/minimal pressure to fire.

Could also try a cut-out piece of a Dr Scholl's Corn Cushion on the MVP2 fire button.

I love the MVP2, but can't handle the fire button.

One of the reasons I got my (first) iStick was because of it's large, raised and easily depressed fire button.

(It also is quite comfortable to hold with it's round edges...and because it's about one-half the size and weight of the MVP2.)

So I have 2 MVP's, a sigelei 100 watt box and a few vv's as backups. Various toppers and way too much juice.

Why do I feel that a NEED the SVD2.0. Will it even get used?

Thing is, will the SVD2 deliver flavor like the SVD?
The SVD is still my fav, even with the button problems they have. For some reason I can put a tank from any of my mods on the SVD and the flavor is just plain (very noticeably) superior. No clue why. It just is what it is.

So will the SVD2 deliver the same? No clue here either. I have my order in so time will tell.

Sounds suspicious. You might want to see if an adapter might lend a hand.... eGo Adapter 510 - Outside Threaded for eGo Cone [gotvapes-EGO510adapter] - $4.25 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more This isn't the only source, but it might give you an idea of what to look for....
