Just check out Ohms law elsewhere online, or elsewhere here on ECF. Different resistances will lead to different wattages if you keep voltage the same. It's really simple though... Volts squared (volts), divided by resistance (ohms) yields the power (watts). Attomizers heads/coils come in a wide range of resistances... let's say from 1.5 up to 3.5 ohms.

4V @ 1.5 Ohms -> 4^2 / 1.5 -> 16 / 1.5 -> 10.667 Watts
4V @ 3 Ohms -> 4^2 / 3 -> 16 / 3 -> 5.333 Watts
6V @ 1.5 Ohms -> 6^2 / 1.5 -> 36 / 1.5 -> 24 Watts

Any atty that works, set at 10 Watts -> 10 watts :)

Yeah its a bit confusing haha. Im always referring to the spreadsheets/tables that float around here with the blue/green/red zone of 'comfortable levels' so Im pretty much running off those.. Whats funny is I should be able to relate this all to my tube guitar amps I work on since its basically the same thing, but somehow it still baffles me haha.. I guess I have to just start looking at an audio signal the same as a heat source!

When Ive run on volts, I usually started with the "add 2v to your resistance" and adjusted from a decimal or two up or down from there but it seems the most consistent with my builds in my Protank 2's and my KFL has been to stay at like 7.5w and 8-10w respectively.. But then the coil build also comes into effect too. Gauge, wraps, diamater, etc, all come into play and mess with it (just did my first twisted 32ga coil yesterday and it blew me away how it cut the resistance of a regular 32ga coil in half!).

Arrgh math.. Even as one of those 'honors' kids in high school I hated math.. I remember having my Calculus teacher sign my slip to drop the class and he told me 'This was probably the smartest thing you did all semester' haha.. Dont even get me started on when the Chemistry teacher started talking about Avogadros Number!!

I think the transmission reference just kicked in.. So if its set to watts, thats IT. You could actually be depriving it of needed voltage or going over depending on your setting like my stupid Honda Accord which is slow as hell to take off.. But with voltage, I can pretend its my Civic with the 5 speed stick and either haul ..... if I need to off the line, or cruise it like I legally should, the power will adjust just like me putting my foot on the gas at a set level..

Hahaha, you guys are hilarious, I think I probably now owe you ALL a beer! :toast:

But yes, thank you, I do now begin to catch your drift as it were, the "automatic" vs "manual" transmission analogy works for me. It helps also that I've kind of settled on just one juice at the moment, - that's the toffee one I mentioned in an earlier post btw - which I realise is perhaps a bit unusual as from what I've read of most other folks posts they chop and change their juices quite a bit as the mood takes them, but I like my toffee one so much compared to all the other ones I've tried that I can't seem to get past it right now. Anyway with you guys assistance I now get why that particular juice was giving me a kind of burnt taste when I experimented with higher watts.

While I don't get as much life out of my new MVP2 as others often say (I get a day switching on and off from the MVP2 to the iStick), this is definitely the best purchase I've made since I started vaping. The iStick is just OK, all of the clearos I've bought are just OK. The MVP2 is fantastic. I wonder if the version 3 will stack up against the stuff on the market now like the MVP2 does.

You know I've searched everywhere online for the particular toffee juice I'm using, but so far come up totally empty. There are only 2 e-cig shops in my wee Scottish town of Dumfries and my toffee is available only in one of them. The packaging says its made by a company called Cigg-e, but that Company's online website produces no results for a toffee juice!? I'm sure there are other toffee juices out there but my particular one is nowhere to be found online, sorry. Tell you what though, if you pm me your address I'd be happy to post you a few 10ml bottles as a wee xmas prezzie :) Course it might very well take from now till Christmas to reach you all the way across the pond! :D

Seriously though, pm me and I'll get right on it x

I took a quick look, and there should actually be a Cigg-e store in your town. In the Loreburne Shopping Center... is that where you picked it up?

Yes it is, Jimmy, the problem is that the Cigg-e website doesn't seem to have the toffee flavoured juice that you can buy in the Cigg-e shop in the Loreburne Centre. Weird huh? I'm a bit confused as to why you can't get it online because all the other flavours that they sell in the shop seem to be available online, I wonder why this is??

Somewhat odd... but, I actually emailed the company for more info earlier... just waiting on a response :D I'm betting you can pick most any flavor, and just tell them in the comments area that you want toffee.

Starting to get fed up with my MVP2. It is less than a month old and I keep having problems with it. Anytime the battery level gets to 4.0 or lower, it resets itself if I take a hit longer than a second or so. Did I just get a weird one or is this something I can fix?
This can happen. Just like with some "older style cell phones" if you charge a battery at the same point multiple times they can get a 'memory' that you charge them there. I am sure someone with more than two brain cells clacking around in their head (like mine) could give you a more scientific name for it and reason.
The way I have fixed this is to de-charge it to zero a few times. Use it to charge your cell phone or some such and let it drain completely. Then charge it from completely dead to full and let it go to zero again. Don't put it on the charger until it is next to dead. Like a cell phone most people will charge them on their schedule like when they go to bed or come home from work. Just wait till it is almost exhausted before putting it on a charger.

This used to happen with [really] old cell phones due to the battery chemistry. This is not the case with the MVP2. Unless they have some sort of really smart [but actually stupid] charge circuit, this is not what is happening. However... if you keep the battery at 4.2 all the time or 4.1 or 4V... well, then you are hurting it... and your overall capacity will diminish over time. At least, that's what would happen if the charge circuit is 'not so smart'. A 'smart' charger should make assumptions based on the battery state when inserted etc and only charge when appropriate. i.e., it would be best if it didn't keep charging a battery that was plugged in with 4V... unless you did something like disconnect and reconnect it within a couple of seconds which would tell it that you approve charging just to top it off. (very few systems work like this though). You may notice, depending on what phone you currently have, that if you take it off charge and plug it right back in... it will not be charging... this is the start of smarter systems.

Ordered a kit which includes a Iclear 30. From what I read, watch in videos regarding the tank, it seems a winner as well.

Got the Itaste kit and the 236ml of Hawk Sauce today in post. Tried Iclear30 tank, with beauty ring on. It was alright but had a knock your head back effect at 6 watts. Friend suggested more air flow. Until holes are drilled into beauty ring, Iclear is used without it.

Cranked up to 9 watts now, draws better. Not used to warm vaping. Figure that may change. Tried the Aro on the Itaste, worked like a charm at 7 watts. Bought my kit from My Freedom Smokes. Checked the kit in on the Innokin site, it was authentic. Was not expecting a knock off, did not get one. :) :2cool:

The packaging is impressive. *chuckles* One minor gripe, if you even want to call it that, the charge cord needs to be around 2 meters long instead of their wee little 1 ft. Agree that a puff counter is kind of silly too. Those minor hiccups aside, can say glad to own one of these so far. :)

Now to await the steel tube for the Aero Tank. Hoping it arrives in tomorrow's post. Then, the Itaste will get a proper testing run.

'til then, run 'er slow & vape on. :)

Thus far I am NOT having a good experience with my MVP2. It's not actually the device itself. The doggone tanks are giving me HELL!! I thought I would try the tank that came with it just for starters so I could get used to the device. It came with a CE Clear30. In spite of me being careful, the thing leaked like a sieve!! OKay, I sucked it up, cleaned things up and tried again with the Kanger Aero Tank. THAT leaked. What the hell am I doing wrong???

Make sure the threads (any) are good and clean... so it screws together all the way.

Try only filling it half way...

Make sure the "head" is screwed in to the tank very well (tight)...

Make sure you aren't exhaling or otherwise blowing IN TO the tip... I know that may sounds obvious... but some people do it by accident.

Outside of that... is there anything some would consider unusual about the environments you are taking the device in to? i.e., any reason to suspect the ambiant air pressure is changing beyond what the vast majority would consider 'normal'? e.g., are you a stewardess, work in clean rooms, ride a motorcycle...

Nope, nope and nope. :) I am still at home, although I am getting ready to go on work location for the next 7 days. I was hoping to get this thing rogether before I left. I'm going to try again. Can't give up now!!

I wish I could help you without saying to just buy a new tank... but that would be my suggestion ;) I never really likes devices with an i prefix, except the original iPhone by Uniden. For prebuilt equipment, I prefer Smok PBC V1's. That actually what I sent my mom away with, well... that and a super custom Smok GBC that I recoiled and wicked with Rayon... made me sad to give it up... but who can say no to their mum!? Anyhoo... there is always a chance you have a defective tank... have any local support people who can take a look at it?
