Depends on personal choice, Paul. Not to mention the mod. I run the SVD2 at 7. I run the MVP at 8. Different juices require adjusting as well. No one ever said this was a "set it and forget it" thingy. :)
But the thing is, with any top fill (i30, i16, etc.) there is no excess wear on the threads taking it on and off. Not to mention you can fill a tank in seconds compared to minutes with others.

i can say, the "topper"s that comes with the MVP - be it the iclear16's or the iclear30 - with the stock 2.1 coil, they were designed for use with the mvp.

they are the only "tank" that i have used, that can use the full range of volt and watt settings without getting dry hits or gurgles. i can vape the iclear16 with a 2.1 coil on 11W or 5V and never have an issue.

on a regular ego, the iclears really suck. lol

Had my MVP 2 for a couple days with the iclear 30 and on the second day it's working like a champ; 9.5W, great flavor & taste. Do have to make sure the tank is tightened properly of course. First day it was a little loose and leaked a small drop or two. Loving it now!:2c:

Been reading a lot regarding the MVP 2. Nearly all of it seems level, but enthusiastically good. :) Came into a recent windfall of that stuff called money.
There was employee stock, or something what I did not expect from a previous employer, come due. Wife & I talked things over.

A different APV had caught my attention. She brought me back around to desiring the MVP 2, although she really, really, really had to twist my arm. *chuckles* Ordered a kit which includes a Iclear 30. From what I read, watch in videos regarding the tank, it seems a winner as well.

This is all on order, along with some generic Pro Tank type of coil heads for a backup Smok Aro tank. My RGM2 gave up the ghost on me last Thursday. The glue in it had dissolved to point where the tank spewed juice. Kept its base ring, the coil.

Dropped my AeroTank, shattered of course, near full of Hawk Sauce ... of course. *lol* So, I also ordered a stainless steel replacement tube for that. Yeah sure, the glass is nice and all. Been real careful to not drop the tank, as everyone with half a whit of sense knows though, poop happens. Some guy name o' Murphy, he run 'round making de poop happen. We finds 'im we gunna wreck 'im.

Found the generic Pro Tank coils work in the Smok Aro, figure if they do there, they ought to in the AeroTank. There was concern over one type which I used for the RGM2 being too narrow flared. Surprise! It does a dandy. :) I get good vape on single coils, know to each their own.

Looking forward to trying my first Top coil system, in the I clear 30. Expect from the reviews that it and the MVP2 will show me what it is to live in cloud castles. Also hoping for the best in becoming an MVP owner. Orders ought to arrive here no later than Thursday, tops, I expect Tues./Wed.. Until then, I vape on my Aro and some Ego type batteries.

Oh another first. I busted over $100 on vaping equipment. Felt like a heel running up a bill for a bit over $200. Wife smiled, shook her head. "Honey, it's what ya want, money ya worked to get, go on and play a little, ya don't do but so much anyway." Hard to argue with such a beautiful woman. I'll have to not fuss about her bringing home shirts from work for at least three months now. She works at a major thrift chain.

Well, run 'er slow. :) :vapor:

Well my mysteriously malfunctioning MVP decided to work again.
I posted about 10-12 days ago about it seeming to be overcharged and not working. Lots of malfunctions. Set it aside and got out the back up one. Ordered another back up for the back up and happily vaping away.
Found it and plugged it in yesterday. red light, turns to yellow light to green and shes charged and vaping again. HMMM.....

My Dr.Pepper drenched MVP is back and going strong, buttons are a little sticky but that'll work itself out...

Glad to hear she live!
Did you have to go through the cycling routine or did it come back of its own volition?

I did, but I don't know if it had any bearing on it working again... I think two days in a bag of rice helped though...

I wish I had understand you were doing something like that... there are far better desiccants than rice. :( My bad, I shoulda asked questions. Check out the painters desiccants that you can buy locally. Any time you need to dry something out like a smartphone, MVP2, etc... much better options. There is a reason that you have to cook rice for so long while soaking it in water ;)

The i30 takes more power than most people are use to. They run it at 6-7 watts and think it doesn't perform.

And that's why we're all different! :) But remember, different tank and/or different mod, requires adjusting power! No exceptions. :)
I did give the iclear a chance, tried a number of different power settings, and it simply wasn't for me. We all have different preferences, and that's what's great about vaping! So many combinations of batteries, tanks, mods, juice flavours, vg/pg ratios, etc. Everyone will have their favourite set up. It's a beautiful thing :)

Electronics being what they are, with no moving parts 'inside' - if it screws up once, I'll bet it can/will screw up again - my luck being when I need it most. So I would not trust it. I often go out without a backup, but would never knowingly do so with that one.

My MVP 2.0 did something strange today. It went to yellow, I turned it off. (I thought it was off, but it wasn't) I tried 3 more times to turn it off, but it wouldn't go off. It would fire if you pushed the button. So then I put it on the charger, and it juiced back up. Now it is acting normal again, and will turn off. Anyone else have this happen with their MVP 2?

I tried the iClear, and it leaked on it. This was within the first few minutes of trying it. Then I threw that tank away. I completely cleaned the battery up though, before putting my Nautilus Mini back on it. Well last night it wouldn't turn off again. I had to try multiple times to get it to finally go off. Bummer. Wish I didn't try that iClear now. Maybe it was just a bad tank. Whatever, now it seems you may be right. It effected my MVP2? Now that irks me.

I guess after reading what you said, I'd better try mine out. I was just going to leave it in the box. I don't have spare coil/wick for it. I will have to see about that, if I like it.

Oh my word, I tried it, and I did NOT like that at all. The iClear 30 leaked on my MVP 2.0 and I was not a very happy camper. I decided to try my new Blend 4 from Alien Visions on it. Good thing I didn't like that juice too much. The whole thing was a bust. The juice was not good at all to me. I threw in some Clove to see if it would help the taste. The iClear 30 was gurgling, and I did not over fill it, or get it in the middle, when adding juice to it. It was okay at first. But then I took the tank off, added more liquid, and put it back on. The gurgling was more frequent. I took it off to look at it, that is when I noticed it had leaked all over my battery. Let's just say I won't be buying that tank. I threw it in the trash. Oh, I love Alien Visions Clove, and the Boda's Bounty. The Blend 4 is just not any good to me. I will let it steep for at least a week, then try it again. The other two were good to me, right out of the gate.

Please don't throw it away! Clean it up and vape it forward. There are lots of people that love that tank, and would love to have it. Or, throw it in a box and save it for emergencies. :)

Misswish2, that tank was defective. No way would I give it to someone. They would cuss me if I had. It leaked on my MVP2, and now it is acting up. (I cleaned it as perfectly as humanly possible the second I found it was leaking on it too) The trash pick already got it anyway. It was the only tank I've ever thrown away.
