Oh great so I bought the wrong Kayfun lol this keeps getting better and better lol. I was actually thinking about getting the prime instead too. I heard it was kinda finicky and im a beginner so I figured the simplicity of the Lite would be better. Do people trade rta's on these forums lol? I really don't feel like spending $120 right now but at some point I prob will. Appreciate it Bill.
Haha, no no no.that lite is fine for now bro. What I do, before I invest 150 to 200$ on any high end devices, is I buy the clone first then the real deal.I'm not debating if clones are right or wrong just saying what I do.I do have to say if you ever find a skyline gt pick it up.you won't be disappointed.

Your 100% correct brotha. Tryin a clone is a smart move. To be honest with you the more I've been vaping the Lite these past few hours they more the flavor is starting to impress me. Maybe the coil is breaking in or something. Guess what just happened though? I unscrewed the tank from my mod and I noticed there's a slow leak from the air adjustment screw. Now I gotta figure out how to stop this from happening. Maybe I should try a replacement screw? If anyone knows what could be the problem please let me know. Im gonna start doing research. Oh and by the way the skyline gt sounds interesting, I'll look into it.

use some plumbers tape on the air control screw brotha and you're good fasttech sells a great clone nd they just come out with a new drop kit one.it's beautiful, plus the skyline has about 6 inserts that you can change out to control air.something for everyone.

Yea it's crazy, a couple people have reported problems with that positive pin/air flow screw.someone recommended the plumbers take and everyone has a said it works.so easy fix bro.yea the skyline is one of my favorite restricted/m2l tanks.I just picked up rta called a "four one five". It is looking like it's going to be a winner but in this game who knows.

Ok I got. Im def gonna make an order for the 26g to try out. I just had one more question for you if you didn't mind. Are there other types of mtl rta's out there that are more meant for higher wattages and more air flow? I feel like I would get better flavor if the lite was more wide open like my Smok Priv M17. On my smok the more I open it the more I like it. The only thing is it would have to be 22mm to match my ehpro 101 tube mod I'm using. Is there anything like that on the market you know? I just wanna get prepared incase the lite doesn't end up working out for any reason.
The prime has multiple af holes so it can be opened more, but still considered a mtl rta. The kayfun 5 or kayfun squared are definitely more restrictive dtl rtas. In those you can install slightly bigger coils and because of that do better at higher wattages. There are many such rtas like the darvw dtl but you need to google search them out . I would google restrictive dtl rtas . The nkfl is really a true mtl rta, so its fairly tight and not really meant for open draws and higher watts.....I always thought I vaped them at their so called limits at 23 watts, but I have been building these for many years and I like a hot vape(that's kind of what you get with a true mtl rta at those wattages and i vape 24mg nic juice, so its intense). Anything over those wattages are going to be tricky to wick imo and not really suited for most...higher then those wattages really requires more airflow imo which isn't really the nkfl imo. If your going to keep it and are finding the vape a little to hot because your vaping 25 or 30 watts, a cooler coil most probably will work better and that would be something that would take longer to heat like 24g, Perhaps 7 wraps . This build for me , because I only depress the fire button for 2 seconds wouldnt get to its full heat potential because of its mass , so would be a cooler vape....now if you took this coil and are one that presses the fire button for 5 seconds, then perhaps not, but again this is not really what this kind of tank is built for imo....I will give you 80 for it[emoji3] I guess you can use plumbers tape, but that's just masking the issue of improper wicking. There are reasons juice is leaking down there and it takes time and technique to stop it...if it's just condensation, probably not much to worry about and maybe tape is good, but if its something that is happening alot, it's the wicking

The only thing is I dont have a pair of those tweezers that everyone uses. Ive been using a very small screwdriver, the same screwdriver to adjust the air flow screw. I think im gonna try a wider screwdriver to push the wick down. I see what your saying that I need to get it to the bottom. I'll be vaping when I go to work tonight. I'll let you know how it works out.

This is a easy fix.the screwdrivers you can pick up a cheap set from the dollar store if you have to,Wal-Mart has some great Stanley mini screw drivers for about 10$-20$ I got.they work great.if you have time just get on fasttech or any online Chinese page and pick up the tweezers you need.cost about 1$, get the rounded tip and a pointed tip pair.if you need them now get on almost any online vape store and pick them up.but they're going to be about 5$ I used some metal ones till my good ones from fasttech come in.not hear the coil when you're touching it with the metal tweezers lol.you can bypass all of this and pick up a great kit that some companies make that has it all.that might be best for you till you figure out what all you need and want.I'm my kayfun I made a 2×30 stainless steel with 40awg as wrapping it.such a great vape.

The Prime is a great tank, been using both of mine for over a year now. Not once have I had any problems with wicking. The only problem I have had is forgetting to close the JFC when refilling the tank. The Lite is now my #1 MTL tank with the Prime a close second. Just picked up a second Lite with the Long Mode tank in 22mm. Will be using it with a 18350 Mech Tube mod for when I am riding my motorcycle.

The AF screw will leak if you adjust it more than a few times. I haven't tried the tape. Just used one of the extra screws that came with the tank. Picked up some extra screws on my last order. Not sure if I want to play around with the risk of inhaling tape or having some of that tape come off and wrap round the coil and burn.

I got the fire and ice extended tanks and I love them.they seem to cool the vaper down and makes it taste a lot better.as far as the tape coming off haha, that's funny.I take it you haven't taken your tank apart yet? If you have you'd know It's almost impossible for that tape to get into the coil housing part of the rta.I mean by all means buy more stuff if you feel the need.just see it as a waste.why buy another screw when it's obvious that all the screws mess up after a while so you can just keep buying cheap screws from them and they'll just keep messing up.seems like you'll be buying a lot of these things lol.

Ok so I figured out the leaking problem. Its definitely the wicking. I vaped the Lite all nite tonight with no issues. I just used more cotton and I made sure I stuffed it in all the way down to the metal. Ive actually been really liking this tank. Definitely incredible flavor. The bad thing is I vaped it so much the past couple days I got Vapors tongue. Thats is the one thing about vaping that I can't stand. Thanks a lot for all the help guys

It takes a while to find the perfect wicking in kayfuns, but once you do they are a great vape...

It is an art form to wicking high end rta's lol can't help ya with the vt.best advice I can give is keep a couple mods with different juice to change up through out the day.I heard brushing your teeth a couple times a day helps but I can see how.

I'll let you take that risk. A few bucks won't break me, I'll buy the replacements. And yes I have taken the tank apart. I take all new tanks apart and wash in an ultrasonic cleaner before I use them.

So then you know that the positive pin changes 2 times going up that pin.so as I said it can't happen, #2 a couple dollars it's already been established that screw is garbage.don't pick up just one, pick up a bag of them as a matter of fact buy in bulk and then sell them and make a killing.anywho I take it nobody knows that they changed that screw and now they're offering a metal one.because as I said you'd have to keep buying them weakly.but I guess some of us are made of money and can pay 5$-10$ a week on worthless junk thanks for the lol guy
