well he has my second order which i dont want obviously so ill cancel that one for a refund, i wont send these back, ill pay them forward to whoever wants them, i wont use them and modding them is a hassle, i can make the same thing from a e2, the design is so simple that its my exact design and others here had the same design even lirocom had this design, zoid as well.

they just reversed it, they have the wic going up the stem and using the side vents for airflow, in ours we used the side vents for wick and the insde stem for the airflow but in our the stem would go up tot he mouth peace, same design but ours allows for more wick and probably better wicking .

so as of now im sorry guys, i tried, this isnt anything against rod, hes a really nice guy and i will continue to talk with him and help him out, hes a stand up guy and i was well aware of what i was dealing with before hand. but i cant waste more time on these, they are to far behind for me to modd and try to repair, im sure he can work with the company and move them along.

so now im off to rest, i have to mod some r4 for COV and make more ptb strips and then its back to business, maybe tomorow ill unleash what ive been working on with the e2.

With SS mesh

im sure they can be modded, the design is there for it, but the issue is they are far behind, its not just that they dont work/wick well, many have died and the connectors wont work for 90% of you. we are way ahead of the game with the r4 and have a better chance of getting them improved.

SS mesh? are you talking about something sorta like the copper mesh rope I've used to desolder PCBs?

I don't mind improving them if they're 90¢ E2s, but with the tankimizers no thanks, if those don't work at $10 a pop they shouldn't be sold here. they should sell them in china i guess.
I am kind of waiting for the E2 to be $10, but the catch is that I know exactly what to expect from e-liquid when they're $10 a piece. Martinez and anyone reading the E2 thread should know by now also.

Sort of. I don't do the mesh thing, but some of the guys have been doing serious work with it. They are not doing it on this thread though.

yeah the difference with this and the e2 was that the e2 worked even though they where bad and had glue and bad connectors, it took 4 months to get them to a more usuable state , yes some had issues but many worked so the potential was greater right off the bat, and then it turned out the e2 can be modded so easily and its robust, we can dry burn them time and time again and they take a licking, not these tankomizers, dry burn it and pop it goes. i can use it as a base for a mod though, by finding a tube to fit over it, getting wick in the air vents and adding a longer stem, that will essentially makethe mod we came up with long ago.

The problem with wire mesh is that it would change the resistance of the coil... as far as the circuit is concerned the wire mesh just became part of the coil in a sense making it HUGE. and raising the resistance which in turn would mean you would more then likely get no vapor cause the entire contraption wouldnt heat up. just a dead battery after a while.

Not if you don't let the mesh touch the coil. Just leave a little bit of wick hanging out of the sides and down into your mesh. As long as their is a space, no circuit.

It's more involved, but instead of adding strips could one just replace the wick with the ptb material? might even create a new coil wrapped specifically for the ptb and re-solder the new coil and wick into place? I haven't actually torn a E2 apart yet, just basing this on the pics/vids of the disassembly.

The PTB will handle the heat only for a short period of time, then it starts to shrink and gets brittle. I tried laying a bit over the coil and got the same result. It works great "near" the coil, but not in contact with it.

BR, You would have to make a biiiiiiigggggggggggg one if you used the SS mesh. They eat a lot of juice almost twice as much as a lr atty.

Raidy's mod uses no wick at all, zero wick. The mesh does all the work, and so a small tube-wick of mesh wrapped by the coil and then flat mesh strips outside the cup should work.

An E2 with mesh instead of wick could last a year

well someone is gonna get them cause i cant have dead weight just sitting here, i started unloading the r3's i had for the same reason until the syringe and br mod where invented
