I am assuming there is no easy way to remove the filler plug in these things, but is there a tool or some method that would make it simpler? The ones I removed today were almost impossible. I destroyed all of them I think.

You need something small but sturdy. I use a small punch and work around the inside of the cup, gently prying up as I move around. It takes a bit of time but eventually it'll come up. Some people put them back in, but I find it too hard (and unnecessary). I replace the filler ring with the middle ring, flat side down.

once your coil starts to gunk up, instead of dry burening them, stop vaping and get a sewing needle or a needle, and stab the gunk, stab through it, and pull apart the coil a little and keep stabbing, then its ready to vape again.

you can do this a few times without needing to dry burn.

I'll try that next time and let you know how it works.

The idea for this bottle mod is not mine. It is one that uses the spill proof ink bottle method. I don't remember who posted the idea for it, but I expect we'll find out in due time.

It is not completely foolproof, but in most cases it can be vaped in any position without leaking. The liquid level shown here is the maximum amount that it will hold without leaking in the inverted position. Any more than this and liquid can get in the inside tube when tilted. A good bit more juice can be used in it, the amount depending on how far it is tilted while in use. The inside tube is larger than the original tube, so the "bottle effect" still applies. Since it does not have a filler ring or any other seal on the cup, it works the same as vaping on an open reservoir.

br that's an 801 mouthpiece, right? Anything else inside it?

Edit: Lovely screenshot, btw... :)

It is for an e-cigar. Don't know if it is the same diameter as an 801. The white tube is the cap for the cartridge. It has threads in it for the mouthpiece.

I thought you might like the screen shot, heheh.

Edit: Nothing else inside.

Why not just leave the original air tube in place and wrap the mesh around it?

Banjo - that was my original suggestion (see below), but I wondered if it would spoil the capillary action on the wick. The air tube is only there to activate auto batteries - a manual wouldn't need any air tube - just a small hole in the mouthpiece.

Bad - it would be good to try and build an E2 Genesis. Raidy is very specific about the necessary materials though (and it looks like he's put in a huge amount of research) - most importantly the type and grade of steel mesh and the Kanthal wire coil.
