I agree I really wanted to vote for Panda04 V4L poster for an add!
I wish we would have had a category for that too!

Good idea! That would be a great contest for a later date! I get the feeling Steve might use some of the winners of this contest on his website, but a strictly "V4L ad" would be great for future contests!

OH! What about this... People with video skills (not me, sadly) could film little mini commercials! I bet that would be a hoot! :D

Thank you Cimyss and everyone that did vote and/or wanted to for my Thankful poster.

From the OP:

"New contest... How do you feel about your VK?
Ok while making this, it made me think of a new contest for all Vapor4Life fans! Make a poster and post it on this thread. At the end of the week (next Saturday morning) I will put up a voting thread and everyone can choose their favorite poster. Winner will be announced Sunday at noon. I will be purchasing an extra long battery in your choice of color and a pack of cartos of your choice for the winner. Take your time and be creative... I am posting my masterpiece to give you an idea of the theme... "

I guess I didn't understand. ;)

Yeah it wasn't until it was just about time to submit that the categorys were introduced. Sex sells, V4L cool , and funny bone.
Of course cool was everything that did not fit in either sex or funny, and your little girl poster definately did not belong in either of those last 2 categorys. For an advertising poster I think It would have won hands down! But definately hang on to it as there might soon be another contest! As JenJen says!

By the way is there still time to vote? I forget where the time up was posted :(

No you understood correctly, and I am really sorry about that Panda. :( As people started submitting entries 99% of the entries fell into one of those categories, and when Steve loved the contest and gave me carte blanche on the prizes, it just made sense to have different categories as a way to distribute the prizes more evenly. But you are right, your little girl was spot on for the original theme, but was that rare entry that didn't quite fall into any of the categories as the contest progressed. I am really sorry for that... I thought I had all the bases covered!

Well, I didn't see how the voting would really work with the current format, and I didn't want to simply vote for my own 3, thus no vote. I was thinking we'd have something more along the lines of rating each submitted post, or selecting the top 5 in each category rather than voting for a straight 3 each, but all the same, it's an ad-hoc competition that has prizes. Can't complain heh.
In any event, I think most of us had more fun coming up with entries and weren't too worried about our rankings, correct me if I'm wrong.

I didn't mind the voting system. It was easy. I just had to find the 3 I liked best. And I didn't vote for my own. I would have but it didn't feel right for some odd reason.

I as well pmd my findings. This way there was no ill thought. As I didn't vote because I liked the person or didn't like them. It was straight poster idea's.

I hope you all did have fun! ;) That's what it started out as, with one little prize I was putting up myself. Then Steve loved it and wanted to give lots of people stuff to make more people happy, and I changed it up midstream. I probably could have handled it better and more efficiently, so sorry about that. Every one did great and I am really impressed with the talent here. The way I look at it, the person who won the grand prize would have been the only winner if we had stuck with my original premise and everyone had fun so anything else is just bonus, right? ;)

You did awesome JenJen! The posters were so much fun to create, but I think that the best part was looking at all the really cool stuff that everybody else came up with. The best part was to be able to see all the incredible creations that made me ooooo and awe and laugh and drool LOL. You rock JenJen!

I had a blast. I make my own flyers. But this was totally different and out of my league. Which made it fun. A challenge to me is always fun!

Photoshop I have.. BUT I thought it came free with a program I bought. Yep its a free version and only saves my stuff in very small thumb nail sizes =(. So I couldn't use it.. and I had some really good things to post.
Instead got stuck with cheezie paint shop.. darn it
