Ah yes, I've seen a growing number of men carrying these, and some of the 'satchels' with even more feminine characteristics.

I like the fact that these men are not intimidated!

And it's much better that they carry their own stuff! I started carrying a smaller purse just so I don't have to carry everything for everybody else! For traveling or just being out for an entire day Mike has a small case that he can keep back-ups and an assortment of PVs with him. Works well, organized just the way he likes it.

Ken, maybe you need a "work bag" stocked with most of the stuff you'd be taking. That's basically the reason women carry purses - everything we might need. I used to have a travel bag with stuff we always took on trips so it was easy to just grab it and know I didn't have to repack the same stuff all the time.

OK, I'll step up .. I carry a reproduction of a World War 1 messenger bag made of a thick canvas .. it holds a plastic tackle box that contains several liquids, a wall charger, batteries, cartos, my carto punch, a few paper towels, pipe cleaners, a bottle of unflavored nic base and a few clearomizers .. as well , one of my TENS units, my Canon S120 (the best pocket camera in the World, IMO) .. some paper and writing instruments, a small bag of USB sticks ranging from 8 Gig to 32 Gig .. as well as a spare Swiss Army knife besides the one that is always in my pocket, a tiny MP3 player and a small set of real headphones (not the in ear style which I hate) ..

And no, I don't carry it on my shoulder everywhere I go, but it is either in the truck, at the shop or at home ..

And a Partridge in a Pear Tree .. ;)

Wish I'd thought of that, yeah, glue 'em on!

Not being a fly-tyer, all I can do is marvel at the creativity and skill. Melted mono! I was thinking it was something from a shop, but that's even better.

It really is pretty amazing what these guys can do and what they find to use for their creations. Mike was telling me about one expert fly tyer who had his flies confiscated at the border because they didn't believe they weren't real. Even the hook didn't convince them!

Anyone besides me having trouble with ECF loading. Everyday for the past couple of days I have to restart the computer to get this site to load. All others seem to be loading just fine.

1) The ending of the "super threads" has not speeded anything up, IMO

2) The site is running slower than before although I've not yet had to do a re-boot or a cookie dump ..

I haven't noticed any new problems lately. Can't say I see anything being better either, since the mega-threads were closed.

If you can live w/o displaying avatars and signature's you can get a faster page load by going to General Settings and turning off displaying 'em.

When I use tap-a-talk from the iPad - page loads are much faster than the laptop's browser and tapatalk doesn't display 'em. Don't know what else tapa-a-talk does but it's much faster.

I was doing that before I got my puter tuned up, and while I was on Wi-Fi, but I was missing out on some of the conversation. I think I will try it again. I have been busy playing with my new Kindle-- just a basic for reading.

I'm almost 53; is that too young? I hope it's not, because sometimes I get tired of having to always be right on topic, I'm sure you've noticed. :D And I can't stand other general-purpose forums where the average age is about 23, and they seem to speak some other language which I might or might not understand. My husband, who is now 61, says I am becoming an old fart, and I'm afraid he's right.

nah... but I saw the "55 and over" in the OP, so I figured I ought to make sure before I just started blabbing away. :D

Andria

HA! We're expert at blabbing! And whatever age you are, it's the right age. We have a magic porch here that expands to hold everyone and there's always enough rockers although you are welcome to bring your own. Just giving you a heads up though to be careful if Iffy hands you one of his "special" seat cushions!

One of the great things about both these threads is that you can jump in with any topic so it's easy to just bring up whatever is on your mind. We're a very friendly, supportive group composed of people in all stages of vaping and knowledge of equipment. And the big perk is that us old farts can be a lot of fun!
