If you don't know, you can drag pictures stored on your computer directly into the reply box on ECF, with no need to do anything else

Whaaaat? No, I did NOT know that! Thanks Dave - good info!

Well, I guess y'all can look for even more pics from me now that I don't have to dread going thru Photobucket.

Geez... why didn't I know that already? Thanks again.

One of my favorite examples of "things I should have known" is using the up and down arrow keys on a keyboard to scroll a page. I think it took 4 or 5 years of heavy computer use before I knew that. Same with using the PRTSCRN key.

Individually, ain't none of us know much 'bout nuttin.
Collectively, we know just about everything about just about everything.

Yeeeehaaaaa!!!

My Wet Willie "Drippin Wet" album just got here!... all the way from England!

Found one in "Used - Good condition" on Amazon.

And after a furtive first-glance, it looks almost immaculate!... esp. compared to my old used-and-abused one I bought 1973, which now has an edge crack and scratches galore.

Obviously it wouldn't fit in the mailbox, so the post-lady pulled up in the yard, blew the horn, and was holding it out the car window when I went out - and immediately knew what it was!

I almost hugged her, but she didn't look like that would be such a good idea. :p Probably wouldn't have appreciated it one little bit.

Funny how certain experiences with music influence and stay with us. When I was very young, I had an uncle who was a country singer who played guitar and sang on the radio. One evening he dedicated a very old song to me, his 4 year old niece.....Candy Kisses.....I've never forgotten that coming out of our radio, and a man with a guitar, singing softly has always been very special to me.....most likely because of that memory......;)

Hoping some of you enjoy these as much as I do...

Can't go along with that statement. I worked until I was age eligible for Social Security, went to my SS office signed the paper work and started drawing a monthly check. No problem.
I only skimmed, but I THINK they were talking about social security disability, which you put in for before retirement age.
According to my neighbor to the back, THAT is very hard to get. Regular social security... Pretty easy like you said. I look forward to not being able to put in for it when I've reached the correct age because they won't have it anymore

Yes, it surely does....

My parents had a Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass album in the 60s, and 'Whipped Cream' still lights a fire under my ....... not that I want to get up and dance to it, just bop my head and such ;)... good stuff, still.

I think that, later in life, that led my to liking instrumental music, smooth jazz, and the likes of Chuck Mangione. OK, now I gotta go find my Mangione album... 'Feels So Good' I believe it is.....

Factoid :: until about the mid 1960's, although he called it Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, there was no Tijuana Brass .. it was just Herb in a small studio in his garage overdubbing .. "Lonely Bull" was all Herb, the song as well as the album ..

Ummm, I hold my postal person to da some of same no-nos as anyone dat dated my daughters; honk your horn and I'll ask to see what power plant ya have under dat hood. And then yank da horn connections while my 'baby' was mortified peeking thru da living room window . Only had to do dat once; da word got around. Actually, my girls told me they warned their suitors thereafter.

Oh, BTW, flashed da porch light more dan once...

End result, three SILs I luv as sons!

Everything I ever need to know about lubes and derustification, all in a few posts. I knew there was some reason I generally preferred REM oil to WD-40 but until now, didn't know what the reason was.

I have a big bottle of lightweight machine oil that I use for my electric shaver and electric hair clippers. It also works great on squeaky hinges.

Yepper, machine oil, silicone and graphite handles most of my 'sticky' mechanical issues. BUT, I'm da biggest fan fer CorrosionX fer any marine equipment/electrical components. Not cheap, but priceless. Have several stories for 'nother time.

I have dat album, and yes, it's still a fav! Also still luv da cover...

just got my heater temporarily fixed AGAIN. it went out again a few days ago. a new different part is on order for the (hopefully) permanent fix.

i don't know if "hydronic" heaters are all crap or just this complex's system, but if i were ever to buy another place i'd run far away from this kind of system.

thankfully, i don't live in a bitter cold place

A bunch of years ago during a bitter cold snow storm our heater went out. Called the emergency repair line for our heater service and of course they were booked solid w/ outages. They did stop by shortly after the call and diagnose it as just the fan motor but couldn't stay to repair it as other customers were ahead of me on the queue. I needed a 1/3hp motor, he only had a 1/4hp motor on the truck but said it would fit and work.

I learned how to R&R a blower motor that night and we had heat a couple-few hours later. Shwew!

Hope they get the permanent fix done before you really need the heat!
