Legs, I'm glad to see that you're finally going to get to the doctor about your leg. I've been praying for you.

Yes, I've been scarce. I've had to cram 7 days of chores into three days since I'm leaving today to go back to to work. I'll be out there for 11 days, if not more. The company did post an opening for the job, but they are notoriously slow, so we'll see. I just HATE leaving my fur babies for that long. They are in great hands with my brother, but, that's small consolation for me.

So, it's up and off my .... so I can get on down the road.

Thanks to a heads-up from Myrany, I've been keeping up with this thread - about a proposed new vaping law in GA.

I haven't read the proposed bill because:
1) Legalese makes my head hurt.
2) It's in the 1st draft right now, and will likely change as lawyers and advocates for both sides spar over the wording and intent.
3) There is nothing I can do about it anyway, besides writing/calling my state reps, who are Democrats and in the minority in the House - so won't have much, if any, say in passing the bill or not.

I do plan on:
1) Writing/calling House (Republican) Representatives - whether they're in my district or not.
2) Spreading the word re: the proposed legislation to as many people as possible.
3) Calling Patty, the (Democrat) Rep. for my district, for whom I have her personal cellphone #, and have worked on her personal computers many times in the past. Before being elected State Rep., she was a county commissioner for many terms, and I am the unofficial (self-employed) "IT Guy" for the county. From the Dept. of Roads & Bridges to the Administrative offices to all the Courthouse offices, I keep all the county's computers running - and she knows I've gone above-and-beyond many times in emergencies. And Patty has come in at the last minute on many-a Friday afternoon to sign my check when no other commish would. Even tho she's a Democrat, I like her. And even tho she knows I'm a compassionate conservative and vote mostly Republican, she likes me too... she doesn't know this for a fact, but I did vote for her. :) And I will be contacting her first thing Monday.

From reading the above mentioned thread, I've gleaned several things:

1) As currently written, it is, as of now, a 1st draft and will likely change.
2) As currently written, it is a draconian, yet jumbled, abomination likely written by ill-informed staffers.
3) It was introduced by Republicans, who control both chambers and the governorship, so the final draft will likely pass.
4) It targets hardware less and the production and sale of eliquid more.

Actually, I have no problem with the production of eliquid being somewhat (reasonably) regulated. IMO that is the one variable in the chain that holds the possibility of harm... which is why I DIY, and don't use flavors anymore - flavoring just makes the whole thing more complicated than I want to mess with right now.

Thanks to everyone out there in radio-land for tuning in... especially to all who slogged through the entire above diatribe. This has been the Geno Radio Big Show, brought to you by Hargraves Potted Meat - using only the best peckers and lips since 1955.

Now get me outta here Percy!

I haven't researched it, but that sounds like a plausible origin for the term. I also don't know for sure, but I *supsect* the term 'jerry rigging' is the exact same thing, just a slightly different pronunciation which evolved over time... as many things do. My Grandpa Mac used to pronounce 'generally' as genally, and until I was ~10yo I thought 'matter of fact' was one word... he said it 'mattafac' - as in "Mattafac Georgie (grandma's name was Georgia), while your inside, bring me another cold b'yeer." :)
A prevalent theory is that the newer "jerry-rig" came into use as a combining of "jury-rig" and "jerry-built", words which had been around considerably longer.

I am up but not necessarily awake... Son was playing with his 3d printer and texted me at 5 am with his first project. Yawn....

OK! I get it now! - glad I looked more closely this time... When you first mentioned that a while back, I wondered why you were telling us your son got a third (3rd) printer!... 3D...derp!

Dave, been meaning to say this, so-

Thank you for letting me 'own' a drone vicariously. This way I get the thrill of flying again without having to worry about weather moving in quickly, carb icing, condensation in the fuel tanks, or even having to buy my own drone!

Here's hoping you find those other good spots you're looking for to fly it - post away my man!

Levis, 569, 541, 514; any but 501's. They have no .... room at all. Also Calvin Klein Jeans have a nice fit for guys anyway.
For Gals I recall Ropers with no rear pockets looking might sexy, and there is always that brand that Ophra Winfrey used to swear by.
By the way you can always build a .... since it's a muscle.
Lunges of different types will do it fairly quickly with little weight; like a Blesch bottle in each hand for a ten minute course twice a week. Give it forty five days and boo yah!;)
I forgot about Ropers! Yeah, they were great!

Thanks, G-man! Makes me feel good when people say they like the flying videos!

No flying today, not even IFR. The craft is not weatherproof and there's frozen rain (not snow) coming down. I got two words for you regarding carb icing: fuel injection. Just think, you'd not only avoid carb icing, you could fly inverted as long as you like!

Call every Rep you can get to Geno. Regardless of Party, they are there to represent you. You don't have to tell them how you vote, but mentioning that you do vote is good because they want every vote they can get. Let them know the this bill will have an influence or how you view candidates in the next election regarding how they view legislating. Everything doesn't need to be legislated.
