Well I am off to see the doc. The xrays didn't show any fractures but there has been a change at the end of the stump that has to be evaluated by an orthopedic sugeon with an urgent appt. I don't know what that means but will maybe find out more after I see my doc. Will let you guys know.

Bad that it's urgent...tho good that you'll finally know what it is and how to take care of it!

Vaccines in the 70s actually gave you a minor case of the disease or at least it seemed like it and they vaccinated you against just about everything with regular boosters as long as you were on sea duty.

I remember that, and ten days before ETS we had to line up of immunization against plague and cholera. Those two had me on my death bed, and the implication that I might be headed to Vietnam for my last ten days in the Army did not make me feel well, either.

hope you didn't have to go. By the time I was in basic in 81, they lined you up, and had people on either side of you. They'd each grab an arm, and shot the immunizations through your skin with some type of air gun. Then like Matt said, exercised the crap outta ya to get it through your system. I remember muscles hurting pretty bad, but not feeling super sick. Of course this was in peace time, so no overseas vaccines.

Some part of me that likes to think it's a non-conforming part has a rebellious attitude toward joining any movement that's already established.

However, I must say "Uncle!".

That's as in: Uncle Willie.

What an amazing Xmas toast and tunes! Sign me up for the fan club! Just great, Willie! I loved it!

Took 7 hours in two planes to do it, but finally got away from the snow today. Might have done it a little faster but my path to Las Vegas included a change of planes in Minneapolis, and the second plane flew to Vegas by way of Nebraska, Wyoming and Montana. Don't know if I got the order correct, but I did appreciate the pilot letting us know what states we were traversing. Never had a pilot do that before and I wouldn't mind if they ALL did it, every flight.

Really crappy pics that I took with my ancient Palm Treo out the window of the plane. Here's one, randomly, out of the 25 or 30 that I took. Approaching the Rockies and seeing the foothills get bigger and bigger feet was a new experience for me.

Still have my shirt but I haven't been here very long. It's 7 pm back home but only 4 pm here.

Thank you, everyone! I was able to stick with it because I have had all of you here for support, answers, advice, etc. You have been the wind beneath my wings!

Now what new shiny did you buy to celebrate?

Ok, I confess. I ordered a Defender! Actually 2, one for hubby. Hey, only 12. each!

Question
Most of you know I've been around for a while ... but I never got "verified"
In the meantime, I've collected a lot of gear, and am thinking about selling some ... gotta buy more :p

I hear that PP doesn't do it anymore, and I'm not sure how to get verified now. I never trusted giving out my back account #, but I guess that's what it takes ... still not sure I want to do that :grr:
Any ideas ??????
