This has nothin to do with anything we've been chatting about, here, but is rather a response to a post in a different thread I read (but rarely post in) :).

I ordered something online which was to be delivered Priority Mail (2 day) from CA to VA. Delivery was scheduled for Thursday, and I was super excited cuz it was shoes an lil birds love new shoes! Thursday morning, at O-dark-thirty, the tracking said it was at Merrifield VA, and would be delivered that day. At 10:30, the mailman came. No package. I looked at tracking again: still said Merrifield, but also said it was in Houston, TX -- with the exact same time stamp! Clever, that! So I called the USPS customer service line (Heaven help those folks. They are busy!). "Oh!" said Rep. Sharon, "I've never seen that before!" Then, "Oh! Your tracking number has been used many times, as recently as last week. Usually there's 9 months between uses!" Then, "Oh! Here's a picture of your package. Yes, it was physically scanned...Could be in either city!" Rep. Sharon called both PO's and left messages (cuz no one answered the phone) and then emailed the Consumer Affairs folks with my phone number. No one called, but I didn't expect them to. Yesterday morning, tracking said the package was in Houston, and was out for delivery. At around 11:00AM, a postal worker rang our doorbell with my package. Somehow, it managed to get from Houston to VA in a few short hours! So, for those wondering what happened to the key to the Tardis, mystery solved! :)

I told ja this didn't have anythin to do with anythin!

I'm crazy about nice shoes, but I've recently spent a lot of time and effort acquiring a couple pair of beautiful shoes that I no longer give a crap if I ever wear ...
Because ...?

I'm doing the great clean out. I no longer wear heels - at least, not higher than an inch - so I'm packing all of them up and donating. Then there's the shoes that are half a size too small and I always wish I'd ditched em an hour into wearing em! Then there's ... Welp, ya get the idea  !

Off to greet the day! Have a wonderful one, Porchers!

I rented the Spectre Blu Ray today and just finished it, and I have to say, as a 007 fan since the '60's, I think it's the best Bond film since the Sean Connery run .. just non stop, pedal to the metal and incredibly good FX .. and, as a bonus, I am adding Léa Seydoux as one of my top 3 Bond girls .. oo la la .. :)

Rhymes with Bridget Bardot

Love me some Bond films. I like Sean Connery for the action, but Roger Moore for the quick wit. I now have to go rent Spectre. Thanks for the insight on that one.

Their bishop is getting doggone liberal. A horse-drawn cart but a boat with a motor? I suppose if you can use internal combustion engines for farming, it is just a small leap to go fishing with one, too. They do like their food!
