Well thought I would report in. Friday was pretty eventful for me. As you know one of my sockets wasn't fitting right so this prosthetist made me a new test socket. He decided to use it for a while and see how it worked. He attached the ankle and foot to it with some glue and fiberglass. He said he would reinforce it after I tried it. Well I took my first step with it and it broke, the ankle and foot came off and down I went. Luckily I didn't break anything. I think he was in complete shock as was I. I didn't break anything but was pretty sore yesterday. Needless to say I wish I had my old leg man back. He has since reinforced it a lot and it fits pretty well but what a shock that was. He just sat there for a while and didn't even try to help me back up to the chair finally he did. Glad Ginny was there to see it. Hard floors.

Not good, Legs! Is there anyone else you can go to? Sounds like this guy is messing up way too much & doing things about half a$$ed.

Well that's what I said to the lady next to me at church this morning. She turned to me and said, "Hello". I replied, "Merry Christmas". We both laughed. Don't know where my mind was ... but at least I knew it was a holiday. Ain't getting old great!

Free Tip of the Day .. many, many bars take empty bottles of Jack Daniels and fill them with Evan Williams, since the taste is virtually identical .. and Mr Evan is a third or more less costly .. Evan Williams also makes an excellent bottle of Honey Bourbon, especially if you are on a budget .. you can usually get three bottles, at least, of Evan Williams for the price of two bottles of JD, sometimes a 4 to 2 ratio if you catch the Evan Williams on sale at around $10 bucks .. bump it up to the 1.75 liter bottle and you can do even better .. "Helping You Stay Inebriated Within Budget, Because a Well Informed Drinker is Our Goal" ..

Not good, Legs! Is there anyone else you can go to? Sounds like this guy is messing up way too much & doing things about half a$$ed.

Yeah he had it figured it would hold and I was just sitting in a chair not near the bars. He is the most qualified at Hanger but think I will see if the other place takes Medicare next time. I've been with Hanger since the beginning but the guy that did mine always before went to another company. I think Hanger is the largest place in the country for prosthetics and orthotics. I had $$ signs in my eyes as I went down but no cigar. LOL This one feels pretty good but it is a little loose but that is to be expected with a test socket. This is what he uses to make the final one. I think he will get it right this time and I have plenty of time since the VA has decided to treat my Hep C they loosened the requirements and you don't have to be dying to get it. That takes 12 weeks we were planning on making our annual trip in June but that sets it back to July. I am going to ask them if I can get it for sure if I waited till Sept but otherwise I am not going to miss my chance at the 100K treatment with a 99.6% chance of clearing it.
