So...it looks like I might pop in on Wednesday.
I'll need REALLY good directions as I will be driving myself.
This is a big feat for me as (iffy knows) I don't drive much
(got tangled up by a semi several years back and it just won't move out of my head).
I'd like to stay till after all the home traffic is gone.

The address to the house is in the Odyssey thread. Do you have a gps or smartphone you can use to get there. If now I'm sending you my cell number in a PM and you can call me on Monday or Tuesday. If I can't figure out the directions I'll hand you off to one of us that can. Really, really looking forward to meeting you.

What is this? Deb gets on a plane and the place dies? Jeez. Of course there are others of us attending to so making ready preps are probably occupying a bunch. Just made a 120ml batch of strawberry flavored juice for the trip. At least now I'll find out for sure if my taste buds are truly shot or I'm doing something wrong. Back later, still cleaning the car.

The most diabolical Twilight Zone would be getting your wish to be young again so you could do over your mistakes. The kicker would be you know the decisions you are going to make, and not be able to stop them. Just watching as you do it again....

No way! Our son flew in tonight so he stopped by the apt on the way here. Their place isn't too bad, but the bedroom ceiling has to be replaced. The upstairs apt though looks trashed. Their bedroom ceiling came down. There's wet insulation hanging everywhere. Luckily they tarped their furniture pretty well, but anything on the floor is wet because the new carpet is soaked. What a mess! Anyway, DIL, Miles and our son are going home tomorrow. This house is a mess, but we'll have all day tomorrow to clean up and get packed. Boy am I looking forward to vegging out by the pool!!!

I uploaded this morning's quad copter to YouTube in HD resolution. It took over 8 hours to upload!

The video is nearly 14 minutes long and the upload was 2.25 GB in size. No editing cuts done during the flight except off the very beginning of the flight and off the very end of the flight. Leisurely, aimless, slow and relaxing long flight, with 4 songs included.

I just spent half an hour checking the thread for the address of the rental house and couldn't find it. Even though I'm not going, I thought I'd upload the local driving directions from Google Maps, but without an address I couldn't do it.

I comprehend GPS directions a lot better than directions spoken by humans. My tendency is to say: don't tell me how to get there, tell me the address!

This little thread pulled me out of quite a bit of my introverted side (not all of it, but a good portion of it) - and you too were a part of making that happen...

#1 is for you to be safe. Yes, you are integral to this get together, but not at the sacrifice of your health. Hope you make it, wish I could...

This gathering together of friends from the back porch has been a dream of one person from the first week of the first thread, and brought up as a possibility numerous times over the past years and reincarnations of the thread.....and that's you Willie !!!

You are the one who started the ball rolling to make this a reality......and when it appeared you wouldn't be attending.... there were a number of us who really wanted to back out. Like it or not, deny it or not.....you are a very integral part of this event, and as already expressed, you're wanted and needed there (as long as your health doesn't prevent it, which of course takes first priority)

I hope everyone has a great time in Florida. OK, I admit I am a bit of a geek. I have always liked Star Wars ever since it first came out. Another thing I like is Legos. So it was only natural that I started combining the two. I have a nice collection of Star Wars Lego kits. I am talking the kits that have 500+ pieces. These kits usually come with a couple of the small figures in them. Over the course of collecting and putting these together, I have come up with quite a few extra figures. Today I sat down and using a clock kit from Hobby Lobby, I put together a Star Wars Lego clock. The nice thing about it is I can always swap out the figures when I want to have a different looking clock.

I won't fly since I had planned at the get go to bring a small system with me in the truck that will convert a designated area to a Club style space .. 2000 watts, two 18" subs, two 15" subs, lasers, the whole shizzle .. if you're going to do it, you may as well do it right, right .. ?? I don't know what the noise ordinance is, but I'm sure there is some sort of cut off time ..

Can we hook our atty's up to that 2000 watts? Wow ... what a vape.

Well, in all fairness, I can't yet say that anything is set in stone, I've got to be able to get there without a defibrillator and a spare liver .. and for months, it's been a push / pull against my own self .. my point earlier was simply to say that I'm going to try, I just can't guarantee anything .. I'm not an integral part of this shindig and I'm positive that with or without me, it will be a grand time ..

Now don't be selling yourself short ... sure we have great time w/o you ... but with you a grand time.

I'd rather traverse da Skyway dan go thru da Mobile or Holland tunnels; much better scenery. Actually, its one of my fav drives! I take it whenever given da chance.

Aha! Figured out the problem and the video is now nice and clear, even when I view it full-screen on my 27" monitor. Yay! Half an hour ago my YouTube videos were displaying at 360p resolution. Now, they're at 1080p. Mucho betterer!
