Bells, if you like Stouts, I'd highly recommend trying Milk Stout Nitro by Lefthand Brewing... it's a very smooth dark stout. My current absolute favorite beer.

Has he brought Patty over?

Iffy brought Patty over briefly Sunday morning. What a sweet lady!

Thanks, Sweetie. Sure looks comfy in here. I'll say that. How are you doing? How's things with your wife, Honey?

Hello, PORCHERS!! Don't know what took me so long!!

Welcome to the Back Porch ... Always nice when new folks join the porch. We have a Front Porch too, but we do our best to keep the topics to vaping as that porch is in the general forum area.

I'll try one when I can find one, Daniel, as long as you try a Lagunitas Brown Shugga' when you get the chance!

As of today I have a bunch of Ommegang Abbey Ale, which has a hugely high rating from Beer Advocate. I'll be sure to give a review when I've tried it.

I've tried quite a few different ales in recent days. There are none that I won't drink, so all of them are kind of lumped together in the "good" category. However, there's one that stands alone above all the others so far: Lagunitas Brown Shugga'. It's pretty potent, 9.8% ABV. Try one if you ever have a chance! I got the last 5 of the bottles that were available from my "connection", which is wineanthology.com.

The one I have the most of is Arrogant ....... (will that clear censorship?).* It's good, but like all the others so far, it's not as good as Lagunitas Brown Shugga'.

I've got a few I haven't tried yet, including a hard apple cider and some double ales.

*After posting, I see that the word was censored. See picture that I posted previously.
Will do!

After another quad copter flight, of which a video will be posted soon, I'm trying one of these for the first time and it is EXTRAORDINARILY good and tasty. I've never tried a hard apple cider before so I can't do a direct comparison but this particular one is dang good. I can taste the vanilla and cinnamon, and I'm a cinnamon lover who's crazy 'bout 'nilla.

The horses were nowhere to be seen. Must have been feedin' time. New firmware installed, no noticeable difference from the old firmware but iffen ya don't do it the old firmware gradually becomes sticklier and sticklier. Thanks DJI! Did a gimbal calibration too to make the horizon more level. Looks like I need to do it again.

I've been on steroids in the past. For years...yea, I was psychotic after awhile. :w00t: The drug you love but hate. Mine was for MS. I can't take them anymore because they caused Avascular Necrosis, which crumbled my femoral head on left hip (THR) and partially on right hip. I don't miss them because of how they affected me, yet I miss them because they helped with pain and other symptoms. But I feel for ANYBODY who has to take them.

I was on them for yeara & had to get off because of the way they started making me crazy. But I get Rituxan infusions every 4 months for RA & that begins with a giant steroid push. Then I just have to wait about 4 or 5 days for the crazy to wear off. I try to give a heads up to the Porchers, & they all have permission to tell me to shut up if it gets bad.

Welcome to the back porch Katmar. I occasionally have to do a course of prednisone. If they could come up with a drug that makes me feel like that but, didn't kill me slowly I would live on it. Stuff makes me feel like a damn teenager. Nothing hurts. However I can eat the fridge into submission.

Alvin is far enough south that we kind of fell in a split in the storm path. It happens quite often. We got short spurts of heavy rain & then it would stop & drain some, then we'd get it again in a bit. It was pretty much over by 10 am. Now we have the bayous & run off in Houston & all points north draining off our way. One end of the apartments driveway floods & takes forever to drain off because of a field next door draining into the driveway. I don't pay any attention until the field & driveway merge & you can't see the curb.

So glad to hear that you're not flooded in your place! Just stay in and stay safe.
