Hi folks, took me a while to track y'all down, guess that's what I get for not coming around more. Hope everyone had a nice holiday and is doing OK. It's been hectic around casa Kim B., dealing with hubby and maw in law's health issues. Things finally settled down after the holidays and I was looking forward to meeting my new grandson this past Saturday.

Friday evening I found my sweet calico kitty lying in the living room floor, catatonic and paralyzed from the waist down. :( My guess is that she had a stroke. I stayed with her all night, hoping that she would pass peacefully on her own, but had to make arrangements Saturday morning to have her put down. :( I was blessed to have this gentle creature in my life for 19 years. I know I did the right thing for her, but I am heartbroken. :(
Saturday was such a bittersweet day, welcoming a new life and saying goodbye to an old friend.

If I were to win it we would all have a hell of an odyssey but, probably a little further away than April as passports would be required.
It only takes a couple of weeks to get a passport. In a pinch, you can get one faster than that (2 to 5 days) by paying about $150 additional to a 3rd party expediter. That will be chump change when you win the lottery.

i regret to inform you that i won't be able to join you in the Blair Walsh parade(s)

good lord. luckiest team on the planet
Yes, the Seahawks were amazingly lucky, but after their equally unlucky SuperBowl loss last year, it only seems fair. We'll see if my Carolina Panthers can beat the Seahawks this coming Sunday.

Announcers have learned a new multisyllabic word and are wearing it out. The word is chippiness, used to describe the epidemic of onfield displays of hostility between players on opposing teams.

i hope the Panthers totally crush them. i can't possibly overstate "crush" enough... (grrr... Sherman)

i'll have to keep watch on "chippiness", but it sounds like a seattle thing.

lord knows we in sf only aspire to chippy

Good morning all. I get to go setup for an outdoor dog show in temps in the 30s! Should be in the 40s by the time I get there. Thank goodness we rented a tent so it should be all set up and I have a propane heater to warm it up. Brrrrrrr. And I was looking forward to cooler temperatures? Be careful what you wish for!

Aww, Kimmie! You've had a really full plate, Sweetheart! Congratulations on the new Grandson! That's a bundle of joy & well deserved snuggles right there! So sorry to hear your kitty had a problem. 19 years is a good long life for a kitty, you took good care of her for her to be with you that long!
Sorry to hear both Hubby & MIL are having issues, caregiving is so physically & emotionally taxing. Please be sure you get enough rest & ask for help when you need it. Don't push so much that you get sick, too!
We love you & have missed having you with us! So Merry Christmas, & Happy New Year, & am I leaving anything out?

Kim, good to hear from you. Not so good to read about the health issues and so sorry read about your kitty.

Well, getting to meet your grandson ... now that part was nice for sure.
