Oh noes!!! I didn't even realize that Bowie had cancer. He has a new album coming out.
His estate/publicist said that he made this album as a farewell. I believe he handled his cancer well and fought the good fight. He will be missed. The picture they posted with the article on CNN's website is probably the best I've ever seen of him. He's wearing a light beard and mustache and looks really "normal" although that's not the word I would normally associate with him. I loved his music but, tended to lean more to his pop/rock stuff.
I'm the mush who sat with tears streaming when I watched this one....

I liked this one too but, I would have to say it twas a little strange of course, so was he and he definately embraced it. I understand that behind the public persona he was a fine, normal family man. Had to be he stayed married for almost 30 years once he settled down. RIP Davy Jones, may your muse continue to inspire others to tread the trails that you blazed.
And just because I enjoy fantasy so much......

When he walks up the underside of the staircase and flips right side up on the landing.... I thought that was cool as hell! Good movie, not great but, very good.
He made the album while he was fighting cancer. I guess it was his way of giving a final tribute to the world of music...
Absolutely was. There is a really good article with pics on CNN.com if you would like to read it. I'll go find you a link if you want.

Bowie was also a math 'whiz' too... that's not really the term for it, but he could do complex math in his head - and quickly too. I saw an interview of him about "umpteen" years ago and, as best i remember, the reporter asked him to solve several math problems, which he did with no hesitation.

Meet Me in St Louie Louie

Myself, I think it was a brilliant move .. actor with lagging career gets Worldwide attention by ingratiating himself with major drug lord on the lam from prison escape .. scoops the Press .. Rolling Stone goes along for the ride and gets a boost as well ..

I'd like to know if Penn got exclusivity to the film rights as well .. I've not heard him say ..

Clandestine journey to the Mexican jungle in order to interview, have tequila shots and tacos with the World's Most Wanted Man .. ?? With the possibility of a film deal at the end of the rainbow .. ?? Sign me up .. :)

Hell, he should run for President ..

Sad about David Bowie. I did not know he had cancer either. His music will live on forever. Yes, a true legend.

I believe one of the reasons something like this tends to resonate is, Bowie was of a similar age as many of us and we remember him in his hey day .. as morbid as it likely sounds, although I don't intend it to be morbid, it matters not fame nor fortune, when the Reaper comes knocking .. so live it to the limit that you are able ..

Oh ouch, Myrany! That is worth a bunch of cuss words! And I hate messing with wheelchair tires. Any chance you can get those solid tires? They make life so much easier!
He tried them to use his words "They were H___ on the A__". Apparently the air cushions the bumps more for someone that is always in the chair.
