Beautiful !!!

Please don't misunderstand me......I know full well how debilitating depression can be. I have been as low as you can go and somehow managed to still be alive (perhaps I'm sharing too much here, but they had to use a stomach pump ). There are many, many people who suffer with depression. Some of us because of stressful situations in life.....some of us who have a chemical imbalance that has to be remedied with meds.

It's just not good for you, or those around you to feed the depression...when it gets to be overwhelming....and is long lasting.....time to scream for a doctor, and perhaps some meds to help you get yourself back in control. They may not hit on the right prescription first time, but make them keep trying until you have a balance again...

Bears repeating many times. Chronic health problems are depressing. I will be on antidepressants for the rest of my life, and I am eternally grateful.

Yeah, chronic health problems, along with chemical imbalance, followed by painful injury, followed by loss of employment, that can lead to depression i think, but what do i know?

Wow... Dona B. Goode!!!

Golly ... be glad your fav round isn't a 2:23

Yeah, lately I'm wishin' it was 4:44 :)

:banana::banana::banana::banana:
I FIXED MY LAPTOP!!!!
I completely forgot that I had flipped the little toggle thingie on the bottom that disengages the battery inside before I left for my sister's last week. I also unplugged it, but disengaged the battery because it was going to be sitting unused for 4 days unplugged & I didn't want the battery draining too low. I flipped it, looked at the screen & had my battery back!
Whoop!

That's great to hear! I kinda wondered how lightning could have got just the battery... usually, if the spike comes in over the power line, it'll hit a laptop's a/c adapter first. If it comes in over the phone/cable line, it'll fry the modem first - and possibly the ethernet port on the PC. Sounds like your surge protector did it's job!

Sorry, couldn't "like" that post... but wishing you the best!

Hey! I actually slept 'til 4:53 this morning... yeeehaaa. Managed to stay up 'til ~10 last night - helping my daughter apply online for some scholarships. I could live with those hours. :D

G'mornin, Porchers!

G'morning! I like your coffee pot... the 'coffee' steam is a nice touch. :)

After reading about Debadoo's Kenna's laptop, I did some research on lightning. It can sometimes generate a billion volts!!!

That number is ~almost~ as unfathomable as the US national debt...

CONGRATULATIONS!!! It's always a good feeling when you can figure out something that people say only experts can deal with!

Any one of those things can lead to depression. Hope the meds help.
I usually listen to my old Hanson and Beatles albums when I get really depressed.

Deb, being a sub-sib, let me know when ya want to traipse ol' Rte 66 (bucket list item).
You busy tomorrow??? (and for the next couple months)? We'll grab Kenna, and if we time it just right, we can be back in Florida just in time for the Odyssey!!!

Update, my ham string is healing nicely with most of my mobility back. Am dealing with swelling and bruising on my left foot which is aggravating at da least.

Lil' side story, one of my sons-in-law recommended a cleaning/health care lady to assist Patty and I. Well, what a lil' dynamo dis lil' older black lady is! Can hardly believe what she did for our kitchen...
So glad the the piggy bite is healing nicely. and very glad you have someone in to help!!! She sounds like a true gem!!

that got me movin!!!

Same here. Naps keep me from sleeping later. Staying up past the time for a good nap just means I get my second wind and stay up past any reasonable bedtime.
Jup!!

hmmm? Maybe some Honey Jack ... let the alcohol disinfect my body.
Jup! Make a toddy or six for each of ya and sweat that junk out!!! Really hope y'all can get rid of this soon!
Matches my mood

yeah but as others said, try to do stuff that'll bring ya out of it, even if you don't wanna. Listen to some boogie woogie, watch funny movies, do something that can make you laugh, even a little, even if you don't wanna. I found out it that after awhile it was difficult to be as depressed when I was laughing a lot! It sounds weird, but at first it sorta irritated me when I'd laugh, cuz it didn't feel right, but once I accepted that it was ok, and began to do it more, I felt much better.

Maybe this one?
