Those cig a likes are probably why less folks vape. Virtually no throat hit, virtually no vapor, virtually no flavor. And change the batt every 37 seconds.
Kind of like the patch if you wanna quit. A lot of suffering with them.

I agree. They were positively nasty. The only time one sorta-kinda worked for me was while I was in managed care last time & close to getting to go home. I scrounged in my purse for something & found it & it's usb charger in the bottom of my purse. It kept me amused for several days. Had fun sneaking it when they were giving me a hard time about getting my meds on time at night, & sneaking to charge it in my laptop. The sneaky part was the only really satisfying thing about it.

Gonna see if I can talk my son and dil into making this for the adults for next Christmas. They'll love it. So, I've never done any canning, but the jars will seal cuz it's so hot when you pour it in? No need to cook the jars in a pressure cooker??

it's well below freezing here in mid.Mi. and it'll remain this way for about a week..with temps. well below freezing..think 0degrees... at night.

My friend is doing much better. She is out of ICU now and in a regular room. Sorry I haven't been on here much. Just exhausted from work and hospital visits. And @Debadoo , thank you for letting everyone know their prayers were answered. This was a scary scary situation.

So glad to hear this, but wow didn't realize she still had what was causing the infection. Still praying, and it's so good to see you!! I know you're swamped now, but lemme know whenever you have time to come over and play with vape stuff!!

With that recipe, I imagine if one doesn't imbibe with care it could quickly trun one into an imbibicile?

It was quite fun, but....alas...they ended them before my turning date...

Jup, I think we're about 2-3 weeks apart.......and they stopped it very shortly before we turned. They were a lot of fun though.

I'm enjoying Vegas, and naturally, the way God the oddsmakers intended, Vegas is enjoying me. Gonna call my old school buddy today to plan a trip to Hoover Dam and Lake Meade.

I found this one particular slot machine that I've gravitated toward.. very close to where the elevator is.. takes me only a minute to get there from my room. It's a "Ghost Busters" machine. I never cared for the movie but like the slot machine.

Found live blackjack tables in the area while walking around but I didn't imbibe.

Oh, and I brought my drone with me just in case there's a good place to fly it when I hang out with my buddy whose name is Buddy.

Do me a favor and find out what the cheapest blackjack table is. The cheapest I saw at the casino I went to in Deerfield was $10 and quickly turned into a $25 minimum as soon as it filled up. I love a good $5 table. Can't afford anything with a higher minimum. $2 is even better but, they're as rare as hen's teeth.

Preach it brudda, my experience with cigalikes also... I first tried DSE-901s and Joye 510s in 2009... a real, honest-to-goodness PITA! Managed to last ~9 mos. then fell off the wagon. Picked 'em back up in 2013 - and I say thank goodness for EVODs and eGo 650s!

the jars will seal cuz it's so hot when you pour it in? No need to cook the jars in a pressure cooker??

No ma'am, it's not hot by the time you pour it in the jars... otherwise the alcohol would evaporate... let the boiled mix get to room temp. before you stir in the Everclear, etc. and then bottle it up. And I've never worried about boiling to seal 'em... the alcohol kills any bacteria... (and a few brain cells when you imbibe it ).

BTW, you don't have to use qt. Mason jars - that's just for the 'moonshine' effect. The glass gallon jar from the cider will work fine, or pint Mason jars, etc.

Believe it or not, we had Kool & The Gang at my Senior prom in 1973! It was a blast too!

I was on the prom committee and a good friend and I were elected to the 'music subcommittee'. We wanted Sly and the Family Stone, but they were 'just a little bit' above our budget... they were "Too Hot" at the time.

Interesting dat youse guys know what day when youse quitted. I just passed 2 years in December but no clue what day it was. But that could be that I had no intention whatsoever of quittin.

I just give my best estimate. I agree. Those who quit by accident often don't have an exact date.

there was once a forum....ECF...in which there was a place where "turning " parties were thrown. On your one year anniversary date of joining ECF....you "turned" Vet....

You let those who were in charge of that thread know that you wished to have one....you got to choose the theme....and everybody...or at least a good many.... would post pics within that theme, along with congrats.....culminating with fire works at the exact time of your joining.

It was quite fun, but....alas...they ended them before my turning date...

Nope....don't want one now..... it was only the first one that was important to me. If I made that one....I was home free....no more smokes

I missed out on the welcome also. They were still doing it. But, they don't exactly search you out. So, I never got on the list.

Instead, I started my own welcome thread a few months later.

Well I did it. Got a message from Century Link on my computer I was using too much data for my plan which was 20Mbs 250 gb I think per month I used 1200 streaming. I was wondering why it was slowing down on me so I changed it to a Business Account unlimited internet, Nationwide calling same price. Cut my Dish Network to basic went from $117 to $25 per month. Still get all local channels Discovery and a bunch of religious and sales channels. My internet started working way better have Amazon, Netflix will get the HBO Now for $5 less then I was paying dish plus there are several other channels I can watch. So the Dish company and phone company can take a leap. Use as much as I want watch what I want when I want.
