Wow, been trying to read up for about the last hour - it says I only have 5480 more messages to go - I think I may have to skip a few pages (LOL)... That could take a while.

Well made it back yesterday - got home - took a shower (after being stuck traveling for almost two days - yuck) and hit the sack...

Sure is great to be back - got a lot to catch up on and a lot of things to fix - Google locked down all of my accounts while I was in the Philippines - it thought I was being hacked - even though it was me logging in - first time this has ever happened...

I got into the HO that one time using my wife's account - all of mine were locked - hers got locked a few weeks later - what a pain... Got them all fixed now - this morning... Time changes are the pits - been up since 4am, still tired, but cannot sleep - aaarrrrggghhh - hopefully it passes quickly.

Ya'll take care - just had to pop in - will try the HO tonight to say hi in person...

ewwww don't think I've seen that, and hope I don't. I rarely watch tv live, I usually watch dvr'd stuff and ff through the commercials

Ha! Perfect!

On Sunday I lost my Uncle David, for whom I was named. All eleven siblings of Dad's family are now gone. It makes me feel kind of naked. No one called James David Bellware "James". Like all the men in that family, he did not use his first name. One, my Uncle Pete, used neither his first NOR his middle name. (His given name was George Lewis Bellware.)
James Bellware Obituary, Dayton, OH | Routsong Funeral & Cremation Services, Dayton, Centerville, Kettering, Ohio

I'm very sorry for your loss Bells.

Went to see the doc today and she wasn't all that worried then I found out that my A1C was 14.5 when I was diagnosed with diabetes. 9 ain't nuttin. Besides I know why it went up and I'll get it back down right away. Also lost 10lbs in the last 30 days, loving it!

Wow, that's pretty high. Hope you can get it down and that's great that you lost 10 lbs. Good job.

My Mom got the name from hell among her siblings. Mable Winifred. She's always gone by Freddie. I always went by Kenny until about 1990. Then I started using Kenna all the time.

Mable Winifred? (shudder) Were they family names?

Speaking of names, my dad's first name was Gerald. When I came along it was decided that I would be a Junior. Well, my dad had always gone by Jerry so when I came out, my mom already had a brother who went by Junior, she did NOT want me to go by Junior. It was determined that I would be called Jerry and dad would go by Gerald. You may have noticed it is Gerald with a "G" and Jerry with a "J". It is an Okie thing. My mom and dad divorced when I was 16. Speed ahead a couple years and mom met a really nice guy that owned a small cattle farm a few miles away. We had lived in the big thriving metropolis of Picher, OK. His name was Jack and he had a son named Jerry. They dated for a couple years and after I left home and joined the Navy, mom and Jack decided to get married. When they went to the courthouse to get their marriage license, Jack confided that his real name was Gerald. I heard from Jack that my mother uttered a few words that should not have been said in a courthouse here in the Bible Belt where Oklahoma is considered to be the buckle. It seems that when Jack was 6 or so years old that neither him or his best friend liked their names so they picked new ones. They told their parents and demanded the new names be used. And so, Gerald has been known as Jack to this day. Although the marriage had a bit of a rocky start, Jack paid her bail, they were married for the remaining 25 years of Jack's life. A finer man I never met. A heart of gold and he loved my mother as she should have been loved. Now you know just a little bit more about me.

They were 6 when they decided to change their names? I've never liked my name, but it was only a couple years ago I started wondering why I never just used my middle name or created a new one. Smart kids.

Denver got slammed too. Saw it on the national news. Glad I'm not there.

Our daughter was lucky enough to miss all the snow by flying here from Denver the day before that storm hit. Her MIL lives near there and got 20 inches! Fortunately the snow there doesn't last long at all. They don't know what we mean by dirty snow.

Welcome back, Semi! We have gotten a lot of new members since you left. Make yourself at home. You got a lot of pictures? Interesting stories? Did they get a lot of work out of you? It is awesome how you do so much to help your wife's family and home community.

Dear Mike ::

Many, many Moons ago, you made a commitment to fabricate a Transporter, a la Trek (original series, Next Gen, et al .. ) .. I know over the years, you have been working diligently on this project, and New Tech is always a daunting task (although the ultimate payoff, of course, would be joining the Ranks of such filthy rich luminaries as Bill Gates and Steve Jobs (RIP)) .. of course, very few of us (The Original Crew) are still around these days to remember those times long past, and since the Thread got re-booted 5 minutes ago and is coming up for another re-boot in about 30 seconds, I must be quick .. :)

So, the good news is, in my mindless rambling around this new fangled contraption they call the Internet, or some such, I have discovered what may suffice as a stop gap solution :) .. The Star Trek Transporter Shower Curtain .. while, no, it's not a functional solution, it could allow someone to vicariously pretend .. presented below for your ultimate viewing pleasure .. my personal side project of a Home Holo Deck has been coming along quite nicely, glad you asked .. I have had several in the Porn industry present serious overtures on licensing the tech once I have perfected it and run it through a long series of at home tests .. :)

Lastly, although I know you have yet to perfect the dissolution of atoms and subsequent reassembly .. in order to at least propel the Transporter Shower Curtain to the next level, I have taken the liberty to offer up a few snappy catch phrases as follows ::

"Lather Me Up, Scotty"
"Set Phasers to Clean"
"Live Long and Shower"
"To Boldly go Where no Soap Scum Has Gone Before"

Star-Trek-Transporter-Room-Bath-Mat-and-Shower-Curtain-Set.jpg

Yes, it is available at ::
Amazon.com - Star Trek Transporter Room Bath Mat and Shower Curtain Set -
For a mere fifty clams, but does come with the mat as shown / and, of course, Free Shipping

@Uncle Willie -- good find UW, I've got 2 ordered already. Will put one up here at home and take the other to the Odyssey. Canceling my flight reservations now.

hmmm ... now that you've taken me off the hook for a transporter ... maybe I should concentrate on modifying these just to transport 'away' unwanted body weight ... could be the ultimate weight loss product. :D

To the delight of others.....who are only disappointed if your stay is brief....;)

For sure ... what she ^ said.

Dennis...my heart goes out to you right now. You're such a strong man even in light of so many adversaries and emotional trauma in your life right now. You have an inner core of strength that cannot be destroyed.

" This too shall pass".......and I know that you have the inner strength to get through this.

Iyou!
