*Rant.* Skip over if ya aren't in the mood
A vendor upgraded their website and, quite considerately, notified folks who had an account that they were launching a new one. Old account info would be ported over, but all passwords needed to be reset. Then, another of their emails said a DOB would now be required and had to be entered by a certain date or you wouldn't be able to log in. Launch date came; site didn't work (to be expected. Happens.). Launch date plus 1 came; site still didn't work. Plus 2, issues with certain browsers; suggestion made to use a different browser (?!). I gave up and figured I'd wait until issues were fixed and the site was a stable. So yesterday I tried to log in and do password reset. No go. Tried to set up a new account. No go - my email address was already on file. Waited another day and tried again. Nope. So I sent an email and asked that they delete my email addy. They did, which I appreciated, but evidently they were unhappy about it. It seems that I needed to have entered my DOB by the 25th to prevent this issue. What? I'm the customer, their site didn't work, and it's my fault? Somehow this is not a feel good experience for me. * Rant over. I feel better, now.
