Older Folks and Vaping Back Porch - Part Five

Afternoon Porchers! I woulda been here sooner but I readz slow and I wuz catchin' up .

First off, Flowersoul (haven't met but...) WOW!!! WHAT A GEORGEOUS PHOTO!!! Great way to start the day!!!

The guy also told me that continuing to smoke was just about the worst thing I could do.

IRONIC! Wifey & I were just discussing how much better our mouths were doing in the short time we've been vaping! Neither of us has the best gums or teeth but since leaving the stinks behind, pain, bleeding while brushing and general irritation have become almost non existent. Not to mention much more pleasant breath. What I don't get is, as long as gingivitis and other "oral afflictions" have been around, why haven't "they" come up with cures for those diseases? I suppose it's because it would just about put Dentists out of business and we can't have that, now can we! (LOL!)

Got mine done today. Details to follow (maybe not detail but, results. Details might be a little much! ) Things worked out in the prep department. Anyway point is, Propofol (Michael Jacksons's favorite sleep aid) was what they used. No remembering details for me! Nope, don't want to.

Seriously though, glad you got through it and hope ALL is well. I did talk with wifey about the prep going to 2 days and she said that was ridiculous. As long as you took the prep meds & did the Dulcolax, 24 hrs. of clear fluids (including BEER &/or Wine ) was all that is necessary. Then again we didn't know about the "other meds" though. "No remembering details for me!" Good deal! Some things are best NOT remembered!!!

Hey Von, how are things in the great white north today? Things much better now for me then they were this morning!

Well, I gotta tell ya! It was pretty freakin' chilly @ 7 a.m.! 22 F.!!! No snow like "oldbroad" had to deal with though so that's a plus! It's about 45 and partly cloudy right now.

We did have one of the weirdest earthquakes I've ever been through last night (Ak. has about 300 a day! Most are below 4.0 though.). It was just one sharp, sudden jolt and then nothing. We never did hear what it measured but those are the ones that make me the most nervous. "Was that it??? or is it just "a warning shaker"???" We had a 7.2 about a month ago that lasted about 15 or 20 seconds. You have NO IDEA how long 15 or 20 seconds is until you ride one of those out!!!

Sure glad "things" "went smooth" for you!

BTW...I have a sorta serious ?......What kinda bird seed helps to keep the dingdong squirrels outa the feeders?

I must confess that I've been in a battle with them for a while now but took them down last week when i started contemplating loading my handgun....


Forgot to say that today I got a small bag of safflower seed and filled one of the feeders with some, tho not all the way full.. No squirrels in the past few hours...but tomorrow will tell

I hope I can talk my both-ends guy into using the old stuff next time. A year ago they gave me propofol for the first time and I missed the high I used to get from versed. I guess I enjoy being dazed more than I enjoy being knocked out.

Safflower seed has been keeping squirrels away, and it seems that all of the birds like it, which reminds me that we need to get to the feed store for another large batch, but that will wait till after the Odyssey!

Wow, so many folks I know are having some crazy weather......isn't it supposed to be Spring, or at least more moderate temps? Hope it warms up for you soon!

And...I got mine at a Kroger grocery store, but I think places like Walmart also sell kit, and prolly cheaper..
