Hi ALL! WOW! Miss one day and miss A LOT!!!
First, 2legs, Man am I sorry to hear of all of these complications and hoops to jump through (No pun intended)! "There but for the grace of God..." Our thoughts & prayers are with you!!!
Now for sum catchin' up (holy cow)!
The beauty AND benefit of buffalo is that it IS considerably leaner than beef. It should NEVER have sewit (beef or pork fat) Crisco or any other fat added to it! It should be cooked more quickly and served more rare than it's bovine counterpart. Making burger out of it (IMO) is an injustice to it anyway. First of all, it's ding, dang EXPENSIVE (might as well grind up Prime Rib!) and second, since it is so lean, it doesn't lend itself to burger anyway (has a hard time sticking together and you have to like RARE) plus it's SO DELICIOUS & SWEET as a steak or roast, why? Just, WHY???) So, A good sear, stick to the rare side and you'll be amazed (As long as it's not cross bred or "Australian" (See Below 
).
I don't know what's going on with Mommatoldme. It IS sad if you ARE packing it in! I don't know you personally but I've already picked up on you're one of "the good eggs" around these here parts and it would be sad to loose you. I'm sure you have your reasons though and it's ultimately your decision. I know you'll be missed if you do go.
The only thing I'm going to say about the "Groundhog Incident" is that I'm not going to say anything about "The Groundhog Incident"

We did up some "Honey-Kist Graham Cracker" & a "S'mores" (We call it "Campfire Cookies") recipe of our own design (available on request).wahoooooooo what DIY did you make??? See Kenna..... sometimes specifics help hehehe
OH YA!!! WAY DIFFERENT NOW!!! (VERY SADLY!!!) That would be the Delta Junction Heard, there are only a couple hundred permits (maybe less) a year by lottery only (and for some strange reason only seem to go to out of staters (trophy hunters) and new comers to Alaska??? Been putting in for one for 30 years (as have others) and never gotten drawn???) all on private land, all "guided hunts" and watched like a hawk by the land owners and F & G. (Side note: Don't base the taste of buffalo on something prepared by someone who has NO IDEA how to prepare buffalo.

I had a hard time liking your post. I would hate to see you leave, please reconsider your decision.
When I was growing up we still had to speak to an operator and give her the number we wanted. When my childhood friend was visiting his uncle, who lived next door to us, I would have to explain to the operator who I wanted to talk to. His phone number was number 1. She would always ask me again what number I wanted and I would tell her number 1, Manual the pharmist. I still remember our number, it was 680

wow. I'm allergic to most antibiotics, but as far as pain, only allergic to vicodin and all it does is make me itch. I'd rather itch than hurt, although it doesn't do a whole lot for the pain, just a lil bit@oldbroad, I'm allergic to most narcotics, so Ultram (Tramadol) is it, for me. I've never taken it for more than 10 days, and even at that, I was not much fun to be around! Fortunately, it'll be out of your system in a day or two, and you'll be right as rain

Once again it's Monday and time for Dancing With the Has Beens (Dancing with the Stars). The got this huge black dude who's in Boyz to Men who is absolutely fantastic as is a deaf dude. We're talking absolutely Stone deaf. Can't hear the beat or anything. Lots of practise I guess but, he's very good.
Hallelujah! Finally a ray o' 'medical sunshine'!!! As always, in our prayers.

I wanna see the new Jungle Book too. Also wanna see the pets one. I'm surprised how many of us, particularly men wanna see the pets one.......that's great!
