Good grief! 13 pages to catch up on! Yikes. Just gonna jump in here and try to catch up later.

This week was planned for getting everything ready to leave on Sat. for the Odyssey. Oh well, best laid plans and all that. This past Sunday our DIL called to say the roof got damaged in the last wind storm, then we had the rain and snow which caused some heavy leakage in the apartment upstairs causing those tenants to abandon their apartment. That left our DIL wondering what was going to happen in her apt. when they were no longer there to empty the buckets. So, we've had our DIL and the golden child here since Sunday. We got word today that the roofers are coming tomorrow so DIL and Miles will be going home on Thurs. Our son is away on business. It looks like we're going to have to hustle to get everything ready and packed on Friday, but we'll manage. We'll probably forget something, but oh well. Just hope I don't forget to pack something important like the undies!!
Don't forget to make a list a check it off as you pack it. Only way I can remember anything. ;):)

See Matt, I'm catching on;) (TWO :D :D)!
Hey! Here's another "sobriety check" saying.......
I know you believe you understand what you think I said.
I'm not sure that you realize that what you heard is NOT what I meant!o_O
That's one of my favorite sayings and often very appropriate.

And my Dad corrected me for saying "you know" too much. [emoji47]
My Dad would interrupt and say "ya know?" every time I said it. Same thing with "um". Kind of annoying but it worked, somewhat. With both of my parents being Ohio born and bred, we kids also got some grief from Mom and Dad for saying words the way other New Jerseyans did. Dad in particular thought the way we pronounced "orange" was peculiar.

Man I've really had some adventures in my life. Some that I'm sure you would think I was blowing smoke up your ...., but I still have the pictures to prove it.. By the time I was 17 and joined the army I had been to Alaska 3 times with my folks. 2 by car when the road was mostly dirt and once in a 20' Reinell boat from Everett to Juneau and only almost drowned twice. That was a trip and a half. Never try to go to Alaska in a 20' boat!

Finally stopped raining shortly before dark. I love the reds in the sky, the trees and the wet clay soil. The mosquitoes were loving the red in me.

Gotta teach the little guy the important things to do in the afternoon.

This is where a "love" button would come in handy!

I love it when the little ones slept on my chest. :)

Me too Matt ... me too. Actually he woke from his nap upstairs in his crib crying his head off. I went up and got him and by the time we got downstairs he was sound asleep on my shoulder. So I settled into the chair and we slept for another hour or so. Loved it. :)

Aha Rev. Mike. I knew it was you. We are mostly all so old I don't think you could find anything inappropriate.

It is the most loving and heartwarming thing I have ever experienced. Infants are the innocent and very perceptive of people who aren't. Zachary is Tori's youngest brother and he wouldn't even let his real father pick him up until he was over a year old. His dad was a crackhead (still is as far as I know) and Doree and I kind of adopted Tori's mom and the kids as part of our family. I was the coach in the delivery room for Zach. Couldn't love him more if he were my own. Tell you more about it at the Odyssey. Just remember from your own kids, God made babies so cute and lovable so we love em so much that we don't kill em when they turn into teenagers! :)

In no particular order :)

@2legsshrt, I think I'd readily believe any story you told! Keep telling them, please. It's a privilege to listen!

@Janet H, your priorities are exactly where they should be. Family first! Dinna fash yourself; the bags will get packed and you'll remember enough :).

@MikeE3, Aww. How precious! :wub:

@Von Vape, I saw a moose in Maine, once. Holy moly! I had no idea they are so big! I still wonder how those skinny legs carry that body ... One of life's great mysteries . Please do post more pix; I'd fancy being an aunt to a moose!

@oldbroad, All errands done and ready to rock and roll? You're going to have a grand time in FL!

@bigbells, Billy Joel is one of my favorites! I heard an interview in which he said he had to rewrite the music to An Italian Restaurant. Evidently, his first go round bore a striking resemblance to a Neil Sedaka melody  (Yet one more useless piece of trivia!)

I do remember parts of it. It was crazy, I was at a psychedilic party everybody was trippin even the cops and the firemen. We were all laying on the floor and we just melted together with our heads sticking up. That was one I had over and over. I had some others that this happened in an Italian restauraunt and they took me to the hospital but I was actually in the hospital getting an infusion that put me into like anaphalaxis and I stopped breath thus the respirator. I had some other dreams too but it was crazy it was like I was only asleep overnight.
that's fascinating! Do you recall ever hearing family talking to you? I've often wondered if folk's in a coma can hear us. I imagine it's different for different situations. I thought maybe they were in a dream like state, but wow, this truly is just fascinating!

oh wow......glad they had y'all to come to. Hope neither apt is really damaged. I know whatchya mean about getting off track. Planned on packing today.......daniel was supposed to be off yesterday, so we were going to get Rx's, borrown the wheelie walker from SIL, go to store etc yesterday.....but his day off was changed, so we had to do the errands today and I've got to get busy and finish getting everything packed and ready to leave here at 5:30 in the morning. So what am I doing on here now?? Resting my back a bit. Between the errand running, the colder weather and the rain today.....the pain level is pretty high. Dunno if I'm gonna be have time to sleep tonight or not. And the bad part is, I'm actually tired enough right now I could probably lay down and go to sleep! I'm never on the right schedule :)

Yeah..we need that playlist at the Tiki House:D
Yes we do cuz I didn't get to listen to it, and I'll never find it by the time we get back!

Gotta teach the little guy the important things to do in the afternoon.

Made some corrections to that last one cause it just didn't read right. ;)
lol don't get all paranoid now. The other one read right to everyone else, just my brain wasn't firing on all thrusters at the time I read it.

In case anyone want to know. Tori is living in Orlando and her mom and the boys are living in Merritt Island waiting on us to get down there. They all moved as soon as they found out we were moving. :)
oh how wonderful!!!!
