I am both honored that you would think enough of me to reach out after my absence and a bit shamed that I haven’t at least briefly dropped by the porch to say ‘hey’…
Real Life has kept me so busy for the last few months, I haven’t spent any leisure time on a computer AT ALL lately.
I hope that this weekend, I can check into the Back Porch and hopefully catch up a little… Sat. and Sun. early mornings are when I usually have some time to myself - I’ll update y’all on what’s been on!

Ours are for individuals only. I have HC tags on my truck, but have to have a hang tag for Mom's car. She has to have her own tag.Same here. Our HC hangtag is registered in Patty's name. Doc did say if my hips/back start to really aggravate me I can have my name added to to da registration.

Prayers needed. I'm just beside myself. Our beautiful little granddaughter who just turned one year old was mauled by son's pit bull dog in GA while my daughter was visiting to attend her Oma's funeral. She can't open her eye and part of her cheek is hanging off. I'm hoping her vision isn't impaired and she can get through this without complications. She's in route to the ER with her now. Mama was hysterical, but she's calm now.

Thank you all. I was too angry and shocked to cry initially, but a good cry in my hubby's arms has helped a bit. Mama, an anti-vaxer, called from the ER where she was arguing with the staff about the tetanus vaccine and I had to get on the internet and explain why the vaccine is necessary for deep puncture wounds around places where there is cow pee and dirt, especially if the wound is not shallow and can't be soaked in Epsom salt, and why it is important to get the vaccine ASAP. I hope God helps her make the right decisions for her child.
Must be pretty bad. They just called to say they are transporting her to children's hospital in Atlanta. There is an excellent facial surgeon on standby.

Damn. That's terrible. I'm definately not a fan of pit bulls. Yeh, yeh, I know, it's not the dog, it's the owner. I ciyld possobly agree but you don't read about poodles and jack russels attacking folks but, i hear about a pit bull attacking for no reason at all about once a week. I will keep her im my prayers.
