This 100 Drone Synchronized Airshow Is The World's Largest, And Most Impressive - 2 Min 25 Sec

Drones have a lot of people worried about privacy, but they can be used for good as well as nefarious purposes. Take, for instance, a spectacular display of drone technology by Intel Corporation (USA) involving 100 small aircrafts being launched skywards in formation has earned a new Guinness World Record for the Most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) airborne simultaneously. Controlled on the ground by a crew using PCs with Intel software, the mass of drones lit up the night sky in sync to a live performance of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony and executed a stunning light show resembling a fireworks display. "Drone 100" took place at Flugplatz Ahrenlohe, Tornesch, Germany, in November 2015. The record was set in collaboration with Ars Electronica Futurelab to push the limits of the UAV industry and to show what UAVs can be used for.

Good morning ever body.
Want to give you an update on the baby girl. Last week mama got through a barrage of appointments while GM babysat big brother and big sister went to school. Life is normalizing. Baby saw her pediatrician, a faciomaxilla surgeon, a facial reconstruction emergency clinic, and a plastic surgeon. They all say baby girl is doing well and mama just needs to keep doing what she's doing by keeping the area on her face clean, moisturized and massaged with oils. The plastic surgeon clipped a pulled stitch, but the rest should dissolve on their own. She has an appointment with a reconstructive specialist on June 7th to decide if there is anything else they can do to prevent scarring.

Baby girl is reportedly playful and does not experience pain unless she gets too rough with herself, but nothing that requires any on-going medications. She has not been inside my home since she returned from GA, and I'm curious to know how she will respond to the doggies. I'm hoping she's forgotten enough about the incident not to freak when she sees them. Mama is most humbled and grateful.

Aww Peach...what great news! I'm so happy for you and the others!

So nice to hear some good news. Isn't it amazing. If it were an adult we'd be moaning and groaning and being miserable after something like this. A baby just seems to snap right back! Hopefully there won't be any lasting memories to make her afraid. Might be a good idea to have a gentle, happy pup around her soon.

Meet Me in St Louie Louie
From the "Better Late Than Never" File ::

Yes, I did enter the HO during the afternoon of Red Nose Day .. I have at least two witnesses .. ;) .. I had also intended to return that evening, however, a few "personal forms of relaxant", some food and a comfortable recliner caused unexpected consequences, resulting in "I slept through it because I got (blanked) and I missed it" .. at any rate, to the chagrin of many, if not all ::

However, I would like to take this opportunity to share a montage of the Few, the Brave, that donned the Red Nose Proudly and had the guts to post it right here ::

I only took a quick look at the page Ken posted, but... why won't One Click Root work?
It says on that page "For the camera, the Hydro Air features a 5MP primary camera and a 2MP shooter on the front. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, but with some customization from the manufacturer."

I've rooted several Android devices, so if I can help, I'd be more than glad to do what I can. My first was the original Motorola Droid 1 many years ago, the last being two recently purchased Amazon Fire 7 tablets (the $50 ones) - one running Fire OS 5.1.1, the other Fire OS 5.1.2 (which, "they say" also can't be rooted)... on the Fire Tabs, didn't even have to unlock the bootloader, and you only have to flash an alternative "recovery" if you plan to install a different OS, such as Cyanogenmod. Then I downloaded and installed SU (superuser, a command line interface) and busybox. I paid for Titanium Backup Pro -root version- many years ago, which has the ability to "freeze" apps (even "system" apps) so after I figured out how to load the Google Play Store app on the Fire tabs, I installed Titanium and "froze" the Amazon bloatware, so that crap doesn't load on boot-up, and the ads on the lockscreen are now gone. Installed my fav launcher, Apex, and they're good to go! They're also faster and more responsive.

Next, I plan to root my Fire TV stick, so I can load Kodi. :D

Pat, what operating system is on that computer, and how much memory (RAM, not storage*)?

An i5 cpu should be quite speedy, and with Win 7 and at least 4mb RAM, the PC at least has the potential be pretty zippy. RAM chips are relatively inexpensive these days, and easy to replace. The speed of the hard drive (RPM, data transfer rate, cache size) and how many programs load on boot-up also have a big effect on overall throughput of the computer. You can safely "turn off" much of the start-up junk, freeing up RAM for use by Windows. Printer drivers and other stuff that gets installed over time put a lot of useless junk in the start-up, dragging down the overall performance. Please let me know if I can help.

*I see a lot of people lately incorrectly referring to storage (aka hard drive or SSD) as "memory".
Well I am just getting caught up. My older computer not sure what it has in it but much slower then this one. This one is an I5 with 4 gigs of Ram and it's plenty fast for me. When I first got it back it didn't work right and I thought they screwed it up but after the new battery was fully charged it is working great except my speakers don't work which they said they will fix. Said they must've forgot to load a driver. When I first got it it wouldn't even boot up now it's working great and fan is much quieter I am running Win 10 and even with that it loads stuff up really quickly. No more error messages and just like when I first put win10 on it seems like the more I use it the faster it gets. Oh the headphones work so I still have sound.

Doree and I have been extremely busy these last few days. Nope, nobody has ...... me off and no I'm not sick of EFC. Love you all very much, miss you too. We started on the garage three days ago. Any of you who have heard me talking about this move at all, knows how bad it's going to be. We've worked three days solid so far and have only cleared out about 1/5 of it. Sorting, throwing a lot of crapola away and packing is slow going. Sorry I missed red nose day. Bet it was fun!
Haven't had a chance to catch up yet. Seems I'm 5 or 6 pages behind and sure it will be more tomorrow. I'll try to catch up then. Miss you all.:)

Likewise, our resident ol' salty tale teller!

BTW, my garage contents will be my kids worst nightmare when I 'leave it all' to 'em! Unfortunately for 'em, I have no plans to move/down size...

Susan,

So encouraged by your post and will continue to pray for your GD's mental and the cosmetic comfort!

That's great!!!! 1/2 way destroying yourself is not a good way to kick insomnia, but so glad you're sleeping! lol
Now, if I could just eat. No appetite. The thought of food makes me nauseous.

@seapeach Great news about the baby, and I've still got her in prayer.

Knot a klooo. But if you download kodi... it comes with... nothing. So I doubt that will ever go away. I've only been playing with it a couple months, if that. Discovered it when an appliance repairman was talking about it when he was here. I kinda scoffed but gave it a shot. It's truly mind blowing (and I sure dint need dat!)
But movies usually hit before they get to HBO or wherever. Netflix stuph... itz on there. And as far back as the silent movies. Like I said, if it's EVER been broadcast, you can find it. From Shirley Temple to the minions to Tales from the Crypt and everything before, after and in between. WORLD WIDE

As far as live tv... the only problem with that is you'll likely never stumble across a local channel for local news. But who knows down the road? CNN, BBC. ABC, etc. are all there. But there is live sports like NFL, NASCAR and whatever. That doesn't matter if it's local or not.

As far as a kodi box... They seem to go up in price with capacity. So no idea if a cheapo will do it for ya. I have maybe 50 or so addons that I skip around thru. Don't know if you can even add to a box. You're essentially streaming everything like you would a youtube vid.

Top tutorials has a website... Top Tutorials – Top Tutorials Website
But he's in the UK. And there are a gazillion others out there. Haven't come across any in the states (haven't really looked) but I'm really quite content with his. Kodi is international anyway so I don't see how it matters much. But again, I'm new at this myself!
Thanks hun!

That is sooooooo kewl!!!

Miss you all. :wub::)
You too sweetie, I sure don't envy y'all that job!

Yeah, I haven't been eating much either, some days nothing, and I know that's not good. Happens a lot to me during the summer though. Did you see a doc about that? if not, you need to hun. For it to go on this long is really not good

@bigbells how do you like your Wismec DNA200. I've checked on Vapecrawler and I can get one new at about 3 different US shops for between $120-$130. I really like the looks of that Lost Vapes Triade DNA200 though also a 3 battery mod which is available at one place in the US for $159 it leather. It's on pre-order and I hate that the last time I did that was the Provari V1. Supposed to be out in late may. It's at elementvapes.com
I was going to move that to the Front Porch and then forgot. I like the DNA200 just fine but I don't really think it's any better than the much less expensive mods with identical bodies but cheaper electronics.

Very cool. I wonder what it looked like in person... can't really tell from the highly produced video.

That's beyond my level of knowledge. Here's what I do know: with the kind of quads that most of us fly, each individual remote control is bound to each individual quad, and multiple numbers of the same quads can be flown simultaneously in the same location. How many, I don't know, but 3 is no problem.

Well, you can talk once you've posted a how-to video. If you want to take the fun out of something for me, all it takes is for you to tell me I'm not doing it right.
