If any family member still has them, please encourage them to donate them to a Holocaust Museum. There are several in the US, and of course in Jerusalem.

That is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing it. :)

Deb, I believe they were thrown away when he passed....

Well enough gruesome stories, you ought to see our aviary outside. The Ravens pick up the dry bread and put a bunch in the bird bath and then take a bunch home and the Magpies who have babies that are just a little smaller then the parents get up on the bath and steal some of his bread. If they don't get out of there fast enough the raven comes in like a fighter jet, the quail and the doves and finches go about their business picking up birdseed on the ground and the woodpeckers are busy getting ants in the cracks of the driveway and the squirrel comes in and gets his peanuts. The bunnies eat the dandelion stems till night then they get the carrots and the lettuce she puts out.
The neighbor lady is going to put up an impenetrable fence around her garden she can't figure out where all the animals are coming from that eat her garden.

Wonderful...I could even picture it!

Sent from a dark, twisted corner of the back porch, covered in cobwebs and slightly damp.

Good luck with this new endeavor! Hope everything finally works out for you!!!!

Peaches, that is a wonderful transformation. I predict you will have to look for the scars in a few years. I saw a section this weekend on the TLC emergency room show. The before was horrendous, and they reminded us that they had pictures of before. They showed the after, only six months later, and again it was a total transformation. I guess the internal sutures are the important part, because they pull the skin edges together for the best match.

I didn't want to post the first pic but I'm overjoyed at her progress at just over a week and I wanted to share it with you. She's playing and laughing like she's never been hurt. Again, we thank you all for your prayers and well wishes.

She's ADORABLE!! I'm so happy to hear and see that she is progressing so well! And, of course, the prayers continue, Peach. :)

The fact that I shouldn't be so sensitive does not magically make me less sensitive. Those little performances bare my soul as much as anything that I've ever done and if it came down to it, I'd keep them from public view rather than defend my indefensible sensitivity about them. This is especially true when you consider how little sympathy I have shown (and how little sympathy I will continue to show) for anyone who says they're considering abandoning this group.
Bells, you are who you are, and that's perfectly all right.

OH! Bless her little baby heart!! The transformation is amazing. Still have her in prayer.

I guess I just won't stop until I'm in the grave. I've been sleeping a LOT!! Sleep is my friend. When I'm not sleeping, I'm over doing it.

Did the yard yesterday and lay spread eagle in it about 4 times before I could finish it. My neighbors probably thought I was a lunatic, not that I care.

Lately I have felt the need to get rid of stuff in this house that just needs to go. The last time I did that, it was 14 years ago. I just started in my bedroom and I've already filled a trash bag, and I'm not done. (Heavy sigh) I quit for now but will get back after it in a bit. I can't believe some of the crap I had hanging around.

A bit of harmless lunacy is not a bad thing .. the Child we all once were is still in there, somewhere .. letting it out is the trick .. ;)

I am proud and happy that todays Service Men and Women get the respect they earned, because it was not always that way ..

There are ignorant people today protesting & name calling, & shaming, just as there were then. I am proud to say that their actual numbers are few when compared to those who don't agree with their words or action. Who speak up & stand up when witnessing such stupidity. They have the right to their opinions & others have the right to disagree with those opinions & speak up about it. The media plasters their words & actions across the headlines in video & print, thus promoting & encouraging other, equally ignorant individuals to join them. What you don't see in the headlines, both then & until today, is those in disagreement. Those of us who defend our military & Veteran's are protrayed as ignorant redneck trash to be ignored. Or war mongers. The media films only those who seem to prove their point & broadcast heavily edited video & sound bites. The failure of local governments to organize parades, & homecoming welcomes, much less proper & effective care for them is but a play in the contest for popularity based upon what they see in the media. Which I've already described as manipulative & biased. Blame these Governments. Blame the media. Blame the mind manipulation that they are both complicit in. But look closer & you'll see those of us that continue to just do the right thing & honor our men & women in uniform & their families with no thought for the browbeating being dealt in the media. Who push those big mouth few aside & step up to provide care, respect & honor to those who have served. And do it without recognition because it, s the right thing to do. The wrong things always get more press. I mock them & curse them in French.

Who suffers the most from war? The soldiers, and civilians on the ground. This goes for any war, just or unjust. I am fully in support of our veterans, and those active service people who cannot violate their contracts. Even though some wars seem useless, going and on without a positive conclusion.

Good news! I know you hate going back there, but it's not that bad.
