Interesting about the fact that people raised around honeybees are sensitive about ecological issues.
i had horrible allergies as a kid,, i couldnt pick corn or eat watermelon , coconut,, hives head to toe.....drove my sister crazy at corn harvest. but i more than made up for it. as time went on,, as an adult a doctor told me i had a deviated septum (that skin the gives you 2 nostrals) he straightened it up and that seem to cure many of my allergies. so,,, on to the honey issue... honey is made from the local pollen.. so distant pollen is not a good thing for me,, but local in my case is about within 2 states. i am sure if i moved to new york,, after a few years i would have to self medicate myself with local honey (thinned with water) to adjust to local conditions. i really do like honey,, but i find it pretty easy to pass on when i consider how much i like breathing :)

my life is very normal now,, no major allergy attacks,,, never had asthma or anything like that.

I got itchy from husking corn. The silks were a problem. Nearly died from anaphylactic shock (penicillin) as a child. Don't know when, because we never talked about it. Got an itchy throat a few weeks ago at my old place, a dusty, dirty hole in the wall, just about panicked.

Drum roll please...

Geordi and I got our first point toward his championship! Actually, his breeder showed him in the class, I took him in for Best of Winners (best boy and best girl) and he won! He stood for the exam and we played and had fun in the ring. Both his breeder and I are very pleased with his progress.

Wishing everyone and their families safety and health.
Woo hoo! Pix of Geordi and ribbon?

After you get the iced tea, iced, and in a glass, squeeze a wedge of lime in it instead of lemon. Give it a couple of minutes to bond with the tea. It really is good.
I love lime in tea. Will always get that if the place has a bar, cuz that usually the only time you find limes in a restaurant. Do it at home too if I drink tea at home. Usually it's just coffee and water at home.

You haven't lived till you try dr pepper mixed with scotch
Never tried that, but I'd be game to give it a shot, so long as no scotch drinkers were in the vicinity to shoot me for it. I love DP, sailor jerry's rum and a squeeze of lime.

I did discover Tazo's Zen tea. I love it with sugar, over ice & about 3 Tbs of apple cider vinegar. The vinegar gives it a tart taste like lemonade. Plus ACV is good for you. Lots of probiotics. I drink a couple of glasses of it every day.
hmmmm may have to try that. The only thing I've found so far that I can drink the ACV in is apple juice, and they really only buy that for my granddaughter.

there sure is/are a lot of texans on this site,, someday we should all get together.
Jup that would be great. We were talkin about that the other day. Welcome to the BP btw. You're not too awful far from Kenna, and Kaezz isn't too far......but his time is totally taken up right now. I'm 4-5 hrs away with no car, not sure bout dancing, and russell is even further. Who am I missing?

I told her when they invent a non touch screen, not smart, big screen phone we'll get her one.
the jitterbug??? or maybe LG A340 there are some out there. Not as big a screen as you have, but at least with the jitterbug, the numbers on the keypad and on the screen are big. There are probably others.

We are all from Texas, some of these folks are just in the northern territories

Sent from a dark, twisted corner of the back porch, covered in cobwebs and slightly damp.
hehehe

I lived in Toms River, NJ for a while a long time ago. Me and my girlfriend went to pick some stuff up from the local store. One of the things we were supposed to pick up was some soda. I was going down the baking aisle and my girlfriend asked what I was getting. I told her soda, it took her quite a while to stop laughing.
lol! That's great!!

Ok gang........for those who choose to participate......... we did this on another thread and it was fun. Just take the test (yeah it isn't real comprehensive) then post a screen shot of your results. It was fun to see who was what, and another person will compile a spreadsheet with results. It was mentioned on that thread that it would be fun to see the results in other groups where folks have been together for a long time such as the BP.

...hope they don't make me feel so good that I'll need to move some furniture...
