If I woke up and nothing hurt, I would think I was dead.
I hear ya, but sorry you have to deal with that!

o_OIf tough Semi uses one, I might just give up on the pride, and admit that I am 66. After all, if I don't abuse what I have left of that joint, I might be able to get it to last the rest of my life.
I know it can be hard, with a lot of stigma attached, but please don't let that or any other feelings stop you from using whatever you need to use to avoid further injury hun.

Now, when I go for walks I use trekking poles.
Those are kewl! Had never heard of em and kay was talkin about em in the h/o this morning, had to come check em out. That might be just the ticket! I've been having dizzy spells off and on for about 3 weeks. Dunno if it's vertigo coming back again or what it is, but it's starting to get on my nerves! lol

But only in my poor ole body...my mind and emotions simply refuse to give in:D
JUP!!

Just ordered these! In fire engine red:D If I have to use "old folks" "helpers", I'm doing it in style!

Amazon.com : ProSource Anti Shock Trekking/Walking/Hiking Poles with Compass (Set of 2), Black : Sports & Outdoors
kewl, but these ones are cheaper and come in purple!! hehehe
Amazon.com : Crown Sporting Goods Shock-Resistant Adjustable Trekking Pole and Hiking Staff (Set of 2), Black, 43-Inch : Sports & Outdoors

They may be shifting me to another base. We shall see.
would this be a good thing or a bad thing? Glad you've got a plan up your sleeve! oh heaven help this company!! Debra is plottin on em!! hehehe

I don't think he can get frying-pan smacked while carrying a longer weapon.
I wouldn't bet on that!

Well yesterday was some fun. The place we met up was a typical dive. My kinda place. The drinks were hand poured about 50/50 booze to whatever. People from all walks of life. One guy with a pool Q that said he just brings it to lean on after a few. 60's and 70's Rock music, patio with misters that never hit you. Nice greasy food. We drove by it 3 times before we saw the sign. It was hot yesterday for here about 85. The seating outside was mostly old theater seat pretty beat up. All in all we had a blast. One of the gals had pictures of parties I was at when I was 22 or so. I looked like a baby faced kid with long hair. I don't think there was anyone there under 50. I was the only vaper but lots and lots of smokers. The beer was cold and the drinks were cheap. Everybody was friendly.
Wow that is amazing that you found someone who had pics of you at parties that long ago! How kewl!!

Used to be able to walk accross street and get smoked salmon still warm out of the smoker. Fresh crab and shrimp. It was nice to go to a place that really hasn't changed in 50 years other then it is a tavern and back in the day they were only able to sell wine and beer but every place serves everything now. Both our friends looked a lot older but if you closed your eyes and just listened it was like you were transported back to 1970. There were Black folks, Indians, White folk and no one saw anything but a bunch of old people still living in the 70's but looking like they were rode hard and put away wet. It was a blast from the past most fun I've had for years. Everett used to be that kind of place everywhere but the folks at the bar did look like they worked hard all there life but still hanging on to a way of life that they loved.
Sounds like a great place and a great time!! oh man........heat smoked salmon........ not too many things better in this world than that!! Haven't had it in many years. Shame the place isn't there anymore. Glad you had such a great time though!

I have determined that people wo put ketchup (catsup) on a hamburger have obviously been influenced by sinister forces and should be viewed with suspicion.

People who put ketchup on hot dogs should be strangled, beheaded, body burnt, and the ashes buried in an old spitoon in a gutter behind a defunct brothel at midnight on the dark of the moon.

goodness! Y'all are bein harsh......but jup......mustard on my burgers......and the only way to do my hot dogs is mustard and onions, or add chili and cheese to that! And I really only like Kosher hot dogs.

That's IT!!! @Debadoo , we're gonna need that fryin' pan and a whole bucket of wet noodles!!!
no no no..........gotta step in here........I can't whack my kay kay!! No matter how crazy she gets! But for someone so picky about her food........ketchup kay........really??? lol oh well, love ya anyhow!

wow, beautiful photo, but such a shame what strip mining does to the land. And jup, I agree with Kenna, you have such wonderful stories, and tell em in a way that a person can really picture it! You've led such an interesting life!

I imagine that I'd prefer gravy to mayonnaise... I just don't understand that one...
well I was getting hungry til you said this! Jup I don't get it either, but to each his own I reckin. Now ranch dressing on fries is a whole nuther thing......that's great. I usually don't put anything but salt on my fries unless they're kinda dry. Then ranch or gravy is my condiment of choice! Brown or cream gravy is great on fries!

BUT scrambled with raw diced unyuns... kinda works. Even tho it soundz gross.
sounds yummy! I usually scramble the onions with the eggs, but they don't really get cooked. I love raw onion on just about anything, and tons of it!

Welp... time for me to cut outta here for the weekend... Y'all be good!
awwwwwwwww well have a great weekend hun!!!

Maybe I misunderstood, I'm still learning Gary-speak. But I am pretty sure he was talking about how the scrambled eggs and diced onions are good with ketchup, and that just ain't right.

That would be the Long Version right?

Yeah, I think the Long Version was actually 12 Hours .. ;)

I always thought that was a classic.

It is, but as a Partier of that Era, I had more than my share .. at one point, I could actually play the Drum Solo, and I'm not a Drummer .. ;)

Funny thing about it is the land is actually better after, here are some before and after shots I found with google. The Federal Govt requires them to do this. In almost all of Campbell County Wyoming the coal is 25' down and 80-100' thick

Well I either gotta get out of this motorhome or start the generator and turn on the AC. It's 87 in here and no breeze. Think I'll go over to the house and vape and have a cold Perrier.
Vape n' water? Yer a sick, twisted, individual!

Deadwood is not cut from any cloth.... it's unique and always will be....

I spent a good amount to purchase every season...although, very very sadly, it only ran for three. There was one hellofa brue-hah when the exec. producer suddenly cancelled it.

I didn't get to watch it. Didn't have access at the time.

    Musing on a Friday ::

I grew up with Westerns .. beginning with Audie Murphy, Tom Mix, and Johnny Mack Brown, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans and Rex Allen. As well as each and every single Horse these folks had .. :)

Although, these days, I don't think it's recommended you send your child out like this ::

    222d38ece27e314c6252444a694bb47a.jpg

Later, moving on to Maverick, Gunsmoke, The Lone Ranger, The Rifleman, Wanted: Dead or Alive, Laramie, Have Gun, Will Travel, Bonanza, The Virginian, Wagon Train, The Big Valley, Maverick, The High Chaparral, The Gene Autry Show, Sugarfoot, Cheyenne, Zorro .. to add a few ...

It's hard to pick a favorite, but The Rifleman and Have Gun, Will Travel were likely my top picks, although they were all good ..

The Western as we knew it went out of fashion I think back in the late 1960's .. there have been a few excellent films in the More Modern Age, most currently "The Revenant" (which is well worth a watch and you won't hardly recognize De Caprio)

I think several have mentioned "Hell on Wheels", which is the only reason I write this, normally I don't comment on my TV watching habits, not knowing what others here view ..

At any rate, I stayed captivated by Cullen Bohannan, Thomas 'Doc' Durant, Eva, Mickey, The Swede (Norwegian), Psalms, Elam and the rest of the excellent cast that brought this show to life .. although it owes it's roots to those early shows, it is, of course, much more gritty and explicit than those old shows .. loosely based on the Real Story of the Trans Continental Railroad, I cannot recommend it more highly .. one of my other top favorite shows is "Deadwood" .. which is cut from much of the same cloth as "Hell on Wheels"

If you enjoy a wonderful story, with a flawed lead character that eventually finds some form of redemption at the end, give it a try .. and while you're at it, "Deadwood" is more than worth the time as well, although the last season really did not tie it up as well as it could have been .. just don't bring in the kids/grandkids ..

Your post is the Wiki of Cowboy shows for sure partner.

Well yesterday was some fun. The place we met up was a typical dive. My kinda place. The drinks were hand poured about 50/50 booze to whatever. People from all walks of life. I was the only vaper but lots and lots of smokers. The beer was cold and the drinks were cheap. Everybody was friendly. One guy came over and had to smack fists and then do a Hulk Hogan posture and tell me I was the toughest guy there. He got quite a kick watching me walking around and getting drinks for our group. You know I've noticed this before but I have yet to see over about 1% of the guys that wash their hands after they take a leak. Just amazes me in this day and age. We stayed about 4 hours and then had to fight rush hour traffic coming back up here. Damn the traffic is terrible here around 5pm and this is 30 miles outside of Seattle. It did look over the waterfront which has changed so much. Nothing down there any more. Used to be Scott Paper Mill, Weyerhauser, Fishermans terminal with fish stores you could get fresh fish right off the boats. All gone. A few upscale restaurants down there and a Naval base thats home to one of the Aircraft carriers and supporting ships. The RR yard I used to work at was empty. I think too many big shytes on the hill complained about the noise. Used to be able to walk accross street and get smoked salmon still warm out of the smoker. Fresh crab and shrimp. It was nice to go to a place that really hasn't changed in 50 years other then it is a tavern and back in the day they were only able to sell wine and beer but every place serves everything now. well there's a reason I haven't gone yet. And it's not super bad, feels kinda like when I used to get bouts of vertigo, except it's not constant. I do plan to go soon as I can, but it might be awhile.

Maybe I misunderstood, I'm still learning Gary-speak. But I am pretty sure he was talking about how the scrambled eggs and diced onions are good with ketchup, and that just ain't right.
ewwwwwwww but, even that sounds better than pat's concoction! lol
