You were smart to call and talk to them about your experience. Hopefully they'll take it to heart. You'd think that anyone in the medical profession would be sensitive to what's happening to the patient, but sadly, that's not the case. It should have been apparent to them that something was wrong and should have at least talked to you at the time.
The info you found about anxiety is interesting. Might never have known about it if not for this situation.

I just knew I had good veins when I went in, & they disappeared while I was there, & came back as soon as I got in the car & relaxed. So I called a friend who was an infusion nurse, & googled the subject. They could tell something was going on after a few seconds & leave, but the next one would show up immediately. He'd get started on the stick, & someone else would show up. It was just excuse me I need her, excuse me, I'm ready for her, excuse me is she ready yet?

I was wondering where Walmart got their flavors, surely they're not making them. I think all the flavors fit for eating are the ones we use for vaping. Does anybody sell flavors for vaping?

I think the ones for vaping have the bads removed. The ones for eating don't always.

So glad you complained, and so glad you got it taken care of at the lowest level. Audiologist wants me to take an ENT referral because my hearing loss and allergies are related, as in an immune disorder. I have already been on prednisone short course once for an episode. I am not looking forward to the side effects of those meds.

Being so far from my kids with communication on the telephone so difficult is a gut-wrencher.
Well, that's interesting. Maybe if they know it's allergy related they can treat it. Hopefully without steroids. Steroids are usually a temporary jump start thing when something needs a fast controln or low dose for longer periods but not extended periods. That's why I have a sensitivity to them, because I was on them for about 12 years.

Thanks for that. I had allergy testing a bunch of years ago, and a course of the shots. That is free of iatrogenic problems, other than the obvious. Doing research, I found out that new massive exposure to multiple possible allergens requires new testing, because new sensitivities can show up.

Probably ought to take my meclizine more often-- antihistamine which also reduces pressure in inner ear.

My oldest daughter has been on meclizine for vertigo for many years. Now my younger daughter has had to start taking it for the same reason. I had no idea it was an antihistamine. That explains a lot.

T ... One of my tattoos is of the most Common of the Buddhist mantras .. in fact, it was the first Tattoo I ever got, many years ago even before Tattoos became more mainstream .. later, I had it embellished with additional symbology ..

om-mani-padme-hum-tattoos.gif

Om: generosity (purifies pride/bliss)
Ma: ethics (purifies jealousy/lust for entertainment)
Ni: patience (purifies passion/desire)
Pad:diligence (purifies ignorance/prejudice)
Me: renunciation (purifies poverty/possessiveness)
Hum: wisdom (purifies aggression/hatred)

The beauty of this Mantra is it can be interpreted various ways, and I always chose to believe, for me anyway, that it reminds me every day that "All I Need I Already Have" .. Life .. because as long as there is Life, the rest can be obtained, somehow .. it also goes hand in hand with my Belief that Avoidance of the Seven Deadly Sins is Important .. We are All Imperfect, yet we should strive for a Code of sorts, regardless of a belief or set of beliefs that is accepted by the members of a group without being questioned or doubted ..

If you have not yet done so, I wish you well in your Journey to your First Tattoo .. although I do not know if it is, in fact, the first ..

A Tattoo that contains a deep meaning and reminds you of something everyday, can be a transformational and very much a "freeing" experience .. it's difficult to describe, but I think you will know it when you get it .. I know you will Choose Wisely .. :)

@Kenna I see you got your list. The only thing I would change is the 10X1 get 20 of those. If it starts to leak it's hard to put your finger on which Oring it is on the head and I found replacing all 3 is the easiest and there are 2 10X1's and only 1 11X1 so it just makes sense to get 20. They are only like $.08 each so it's just an extra 80 cents

I will be out tomorrow for the bulk of the day doing some volunteer work surrounding the Anniversary of 9/11 and Local Veterans .. as I tend to do during certain times of the year, I would once again, encourage all of you to involve in some form of Community Service when you can .. no matter where you live, no matter your ability financially or otherwise, there are folks that will appreciate whatever you can do .. many things require nothing of you but time and the willingness to care .. most area Civic Organizations or other Community Outreach maintain info on what and where help is needed within your Community ..

Just the simple act of calling someone older and living alone and talking to them will brighten a fellow Humans day and costs nothing .. you will Bank a deep feeling of good and place a chip or two in the Good Karma Bank .. ;)

I know many of you here see me as opinionated, obstinate, snide at times (no way .. ;)), sarcastic, etc .. and, I suppose I might have to plead guilty .. ;) I also know some don't care much for me, and I can understand that, although I don't think I've ever gone out of my way to intentionally tee someone off (well, OK, there was that time in 2013.. ;)) .. but the truth is, and I have said it before, I cherish the Day I stumbled upon the Porch and began my Journey with you .. we continue to Gather around this Digital campfire and the Journey goes on .. every once in a while, I just like to say thanks for having me over the years ..

Since tomorrow is the 15th Anniversary, I would encourage all of you to add to the narrative for posterity in telling a bit about that day, from your perspective as events unfolded .. where you were, how you reacted, etc .. I remember, when I got up that morning, since I generally don't turn on the TV, I had my coffee, smoked a few cigs and went to the workshop for the day .. I was struck by the fact that traffic was almost non-existent .. when I went on-line at the workshop, discovering what had happened, the day became a surreal blur where feelings of denial and helplessness took over ..

In closing ::

A short 9/11. I was working as an IT consultant for one of the big insurance companies. I managed all the PC hardware - inventory, installation, repair, etc. Someone yelled "the World Trade Center just got attacked!" All work stopped. We all gathered around PCs tuned in to CNN or some newws channel and watched the whole thing in utter horror. I don't remember much else except numbness and disbelief. Needless to say, not much work got done that day.

Oh I do have a friend who was on the NYPD who's Belgian Sheepdog was there and helped keep moral up. He was honored and received many awards for service and bravery. Eli passed a few years ago, but they are doing a tribute to him tomorrow at the show.

Colin Kaepernick has done nothing to disrespect you, me, the US, the police, the military or the game of football, unless you just need something, anything, to get worked up about for no good reason.

That day started like any other, spent the morning getting my daughter off to school. It was her senior year, she was on the yearbook staff and they had planned a trip to NYC for the following spring. The teacher/chaperone had come up with a system for the kids to pay for the trip in installments and as it turned out the first installment was due on the 11th. Sent my daughter off to school with a check, she was so excited that she was going to get to go. Turned on the TV later on that morning and when they broke in with the news that the first plane had struck the North Tower I was horrified. I just couldn't believe that it was happening. That night the teacher in charge of the yearbook staff called and wanted to talk about the upcoming trip to NYC. She said that about half the parents so far had pulled their kids from the trip and wanted to know what I would like to do. I asked her opinion and she said that she thought the trip plans should go forward, her reasoning was that it was a part of history that the kids should witness and never forget, and that it was important to send the message to the kids that being afraid to live your life because of terrorism, was, in a way, helping terrorists accomplish their goals. After talking to hubby and my daughter about it, we decided to let her go.

On another note, 9/11 does hold a positive note for me, it is the date that I decided to stop smoking, tomorrow will be my third anniversary of being cigarette free. :)

I was on my way to work & listening to news on the radio. They began reporting on hijacked planes, then reported the 1st strike. I got to work, & ran into the building (literally the last time I've run), h got in the ftont door just in time to look across to the breakroom tv & see the 2nd plane fly across & disappear behind the 2nd tower. I called my boss upstairs & told her what was going on & she told the company owners & then came down to me. I was so shocked I almost could not do anything but stare at the tv.
