@Iffy I know what you mean about the NBVC stash. I have a bunch of 1.8's also with the small juice holes and they are usable too. Ginny's last about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks but she is puffing pretty regularly so that's not bad. Plus I enjoy these little Kabuki's except for having to fill them up a lot. They are great when out and about, never leak, always work and easy to change coils. So I use a few of the heads too.

We spent the day yesterday at my son's place. Had lunch, and nice afternoon walk, then dinner. Meet the family:

Left to right: Rachel (preggers w/ son #2), Michael, Janet, Jeannie (Janet's sister)
Middle: Miles Man

IMG_5256_zpsuxpumt99.jpg

3 generations of Michael's (Michael IV, Michael V, Michael III). Mile's name of record is actually Michael. Miles is used to not have 3 heads turn when someone says "Michael".

Beautiful family!

@Kenna , can you play "find it" games? Nosework - show him a treat then hide it and let him find it. Easy places at first, but as he gets the gist of the game you can get trickier with hiding places. Just little tiny treats, you don't want to fill him up with treats. Even some of his kibble. Anything for him to sniff and find. Just an idea to maybe try. It can be a lot of fun and keep his mind busy.

You could get one of those little 1/8th cup coffee measures. They look like a little metal measuring cup. It would be easier to pour into h contain the same amount as a pod.
We've been using white vinegar in the dishwasher for many years. Also use it to set the colors in new clothes, & clean glass. I've stayed in several homes witj the newer HE dishwashersn & washing machines. They always stink horribly! Thinking about taking a npttle of vinegar next time & runming them through a cycle with just vinegar.
The manual for our high dollar Bosch dishingwashermochine says to put a measuring cup of white vinegar in the top rack and run a normal cycle. Works. I think you do it that way so only a biy splashes out during the whole wash cycle.

Does it keep it from stinking?

I thought about teaching him to find it.

Ok, that looks good! Glad I dvr'd it. Gonna watch it now!
Do you get HBO. This West World looks pretty good but really graphic and kind of morbid but interesting. Good stars. Ed Harris is the real bad bad guy. Anthony Hopkins is the Director of West World not the actual director but the boss of what West World is understand. He's the boss and has programmers for all these droids working for him. They have a couple thousand droids. The idea is the droids start going really weird and Hopkins and programmers are trying to figure out why and what they are going to do next. It looks like it should be good. We are going to wait till there is a few episodes to watch.

Lifeline Cell Phone Eligibility | Assurance Wireless I have this. Plan on only using it for text, might do better with voice if I use the speakerphone feature. But my landline is set to switch to the cellphone if either electricity or cable is down.
yeah I've seen things for that. I'm not on other programs at present, and am hoping my son will put me on his account. They're going to be switching to a different carrier soon, and it won't cost much at all to put me on there. I don't know if they have unlimited minutes or share a certain amt, but all calls between would be free either way.

Psst... He'z da star! Itz in da script. Ain't choo got no book larnin?
Don't make me put you in the corner for time out!!! :grr: ....

read what's behind the spoiler button:
Jup! That will be interesting for sure.

Man those Nautilus heads are becoming quite scarce except in China or if you don't pay $12+
That's awful. I know you said someone will be getting more in that are cheaper, but hope they don't quit makin em. A lotta folks still use those, and some may end up always using them.

Hey heres a little known fact at least we didn't know it. If you like feeding the Hummingbirds and watching them. We were watching a show on them and they said if you feed the Hummers you should take your feeder down by Labor Day because the Hummers will stay around as long as you keep feeding them and they will get a late start on their long journey to I believe somewhere in S. America and probably won't make it. So there ya go, take your feeders down by Labor Day or shortly there after and help the Hummingbird population
that's good to know. Thanks :)

Even bigger savings can be had for the rinse agent that causes dishes to dry streak free.
Use white vinegar OR lemon juice instead of Jet Dry.
I've always used distilled white vinegar in the rinse cup rather than Jet Dry. Never had any issues with leaking.

Timeless premiers 2 nite. Looks interesting. But... heard that before!
I really hope this is good!! Have it dvr'd. Anxiously awaiting watching it either tonite or tomorrow!

Beautiful family!! Those will be cherished pics for Miles when he's older.

Jup, someone, (I think it was Kay) posted it a couple days ago. You've been outta town so yur forgiven. :D It was adorable.

Now, I have heard that people living in Alaska loved it - something to do with the mind numbing cold they live in everyday...:D:lol::lol::lol:
Lmao!!

Oh that's a great idea!! I've been asking the kids to get him one of those toys where ya hide the treat in the toy, and they have to figure out But this is something that is free. Well cept for the treats. I feel so honored and welcome! Frankie is a Westie mix, so he should be adept at finding hidden things!

Cops and Robbersons, 1994. Chevy Chase, Jack Palance, Diane Wiest.
I'd never seen this one. Fairly typical Chevy Chase comedy. Diane Wiest is especially good.

Next up: Timeless, DVR'd earlier.

Even if you had to pay $12 for a 5-pack it wouldn't be the end of the world, since Ginny is using one coil about about every 10 days. I've got two packs that I'll never use, one of them is 1.6 ohms and the other is 1.8 ohms. But as long as a lot of people still use them, Aspire will keep making them.

I've always used distilled white vinegar in the rinse cup rather than Jet Dry. Never had any issues with leaking.
Sounds like I was late to the vinegar party. I only read about using it a few months ago, but so many of you are already using it!

My dishwasher is also a Bosch, Matt, but I bought it from Sears as a returned item, added the 3 year full home service warranty, and still saved a couple hundred compared to the new price. It's not their top of the line..... doesn't have a heated drying cycle.... but I really like it. Good thing I got the 3 year warranty, because after I brought it home in my truck I stored it for two years before I cut out enough of the cabinet to the right of the sink to install it. Of course it didn't work, so I called Sears and they came out and replaced various electronics including the control board, which would have cost plenty. Then they extended the warranty another year. It's been working fine though since the middle of 2014.

I don't get HBO but I saw today they are having a free weekend for HBO & the Max channels this weekend so i'll check for it on demand.
Timeless is passing muster. Tonight's was good!

How do you use the citric acid in the dishwasher & coffee pot? And what measurement? I finally remembered to get some & can't find the directions.

For the coffee pot: one half to one tablespoon of citric acid dissolved by stirring into whatever amount of water it takes to run a cycle of the coffee pot. If your coffee pot uses only 8 oz of water, then just use a teaspoon of citric acid.

To make automatic dishwasher detergent:
1 cup washing soda
1 cup Borax
1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup coarse Kosher salt

My take on Timeless: good character development, interesting and well worn science fiction dilemma of time travel, done well. I'll definitely be watching more episodes. Oh, and for those disappointed with McGyver, the real McGyver may have moved to Timeless.... an interesting use of an underwire bra.

Vinegar in a freaking rack? Who the heck do you think you're kidding, sonny? Racks are just wires that leak.

The toys can be great, especially if you have to leave the dog alone for a period of time. What I like about the "find it" game is it is interactive. Dog doesn't need you to work on the toy, he needs you to hide the treats. And the party when he finds it.
