Hey I saw some place had the KF V3 by Tobecco and I heard the Hurricanes from fastech are good also. In fact someone said the Hurricane was a 1-1 for $18 instead of $180. I am not a mouth to lunger though sort of in between. I've been seriously considering a couple of Cool Fire 4 TC100's. Daniel at DSJlbs tested the battery and it actually held 3600mah. Thats a pretty good battery life. One of the only cons I agreed with was by PB and that was no upgradability. It is a little off on temps which could probably be fixed and it only hits about 87w which Daniel, who is a complete electronics geek, put new wires in from the board to the 510 and got 100w. Just a few inches of better wire changed a lot temps were better and so was the signal. oh and it has 2a charging.
Come on now, you must have more than 3 screw drivers.
That's a starter set not a collection.

The hubby I think collects wire. He has one of those huge storage bins {like 4 ft x 3 ft x 3.5 ft) jammed full of misc computer, stereo, home theater wires of all types. It took 2 construction workers to lift it last time we moved.

Yeah that does sound interesting. I bet when they come out with it the TC100 might even go down a little in price. But that kit sounds really good too. IDK what I'd need a battery tester for I know if my batteries are charged. And I carry my mods in a .... bag usually 4 or 5 but that is a really good idea. Yeah Innokin has been making some neat stuff. I watched him do a setup in the RTA kit and it didn't look too bad either did it with Ti at 3mm for the coil. Not as easy as a STM but not bad. Thanks David
Yeah, the "kit" looks similar to the case the SVD2 comes in. It's getting dusty on the shelf, but could be a nice "plus" for those starting out, without meters and such. And I'd be happy to skip the tank, but no option as yet for a bare bones.
