Well that sherriff did it again this morning, parked in the crosshatching between 2 handicap spots. So I called a city police officer to come ticket the sherriffs car. More than one way to get things done. ;)

And if that doesn't work you could always call the local paper. You might want to take a picture of it just to make sure. It should have a time and date stamp.

I applaud you, so don't take my next statement the wrong way :: Being the jaded old codger that I am, although a ticket may dissuade the Sherriff from further infringement on a Handicapped Spot, do you really think he/she will ever pay any fine associated with said ticket .. ?? Maybe things are different in your neck of the woods, in my area, the Police Cruiser is considered an Emergency Vehicle and can pretty well park anywhere they want ..

No, I don't think it's fair and for the Record, I consider Handicapped spots sacred ground not to be infringed upon by anyone other than the legitimately Handicapped .. another thing that frosts my cake is an $80K vehicle whips into a Handicapped spot, has what appears to be a legit Handicapped mirror dangler or even the proper tags, and someone dressed to the nines hops out and briskly walks energetically to their destination .. :( .. making me wonder exactly what is the Handicap .. ??

And, while I'm at it, what about the 20 somethings that appear to be able to at least walk, yet immediately snag up an electro-cart at the Walmart and tool around in that, when a few minutes later, an oldster with a walker can't get an electro-cart because the 20 somethings have snagged them all up .. ?? :(

Yesterday was a wonderful day...my GD took me to a plant nursery where i got 4 bags of top soil,

two of potting soil, and seven flowering plants. My little garden space was just dirt and now it's beginning to look like a flower garden. Around the middle of June I'm gonna get more to finish filling it in. And now all three bird feeders are full, finally, they've been empty for weeks.
I'm happy:)
Pics after i upload them....

I've had that exact same thought. I'm beginning to wonder if "they" have legitimately deemed that "stupid" is a handicap...

Sadly, not. Otherwise Mitch Zeller and all of his minions would have said placards.

No I know they wont end up paying. I am hoping they stop doing it and hoping there is a certain amount of humiliation and teasing that happens at the station house.

Ode to the 12" roast beef sub on whole wheat at Griffin's Convenience and Gas:

Roast beef and whole wheat sub roll are plenty fresh.
Banana peppers wonderfully sweet.
Great maters and onions, lubed with mystery honey mustard,
Made with pride and handed to me with a delightful smile, just 5 bucks.

Yepper, dem and 1/4" sockets!

I luv tools that are wood. You're a lucky man!
Even worse than 1/4" sockets are the 1/4" nut driver attachments for my impact driver. Hell, they disappear mid job. I use em to drive the hex head sheet metal screws. I use those for just about everything, great combo of a sheet metal screw, wood screw and a washer. Those and the coated deck screws pretty much fulfill any screw needs I have of the fastening variety. Had to throw that last in for any of those of us who's mind slip right down that path.

Too true, Darlin'... besides, if they labeled "stupid" as a handicap, then we'd need more handicap parking spaces than regular ones...

You didn't set it up. Friendly competition between city and county cops is endemic. We have Highway patrol and sheriff dept here-- same same.

Sunday evening, I caught a very well done "60 Minutes" special on Morley Safer .. who was given tribute as retiring .. today, I see in my News Feed Mr Safer has passed ..

Mike Wallace, Ed Bradley, Andy Rooney, Bob Simon .. all great reporters and from a bygone age when News was News and not the fluff stuff that it has become today ..

Safer was always one of my favorites, and the special shed some real light on a true Renaissance Man .. catch it if you have the chance ..
