Well. I'm feeling just civilized enuf to pop in for a minute.

To make a long boring story short...about three weeks ago I fell down...but didn't realize that I broke a pelvic bone in my right hip, the one that has a new ball n joint. So I've gone way back in the recovery time...and I'm not pleasant to be around when I'm so p.o.d and depressed.Anyone with any sense at all that knows me steers way clear till I give the green light so to speak. It's still not green but maybe a mild red...

Bye for now...

"While the term "soft drink" is commonly used in product labeling and on restaurant menus, in many countries these drinks are more commonly referred to by regional names, including carbonated beverage, coke, fizzy drink, cool drink, cold drink, lolly water, pop, seltzer, soda, soda pop, tonic, and mineral.[5][6] Due to the high sugar content in typical soft drinks, they may also be calledsugary drinks.

In the United States, the 2003 Harvard Dialect Survey tracked the usage of the nine most common names. Over half of the survey respondents preferred the term "soda", which was dominant in the Northeastern United States, California, and the areas surrounding Milwaukee and St. Louis. The term "pop", which was preferred by 25% of the respondents, was most popular in theMidwest and Pacific Northwest, while the genericized trademark "coke", used by 12% of the respondents, was most popular in theSouthern United States.[5] The term "tonic" is hyperlocal to eastern Massachusetts, although usage is declining.[7] In the English-speaking parts of Canada, the term "pop" is prevalent, but "soft drink" is the most common English term used in Montreal.[8]

In the United Kingdom and Ireland, the terms "fizzy drink" and the genericized trademark "coke" are common. "Pop" and "fizzy pop" are used in northern England, while[9] "mineral" is used in Ireland.[6] In Australia and New Zealand, "soft drink" is typically used.[10]In South African English, "cool drink" and "cold drink" are used."

I see no need to disparage any region for what people prefer to call something in their particular location......

Apparently there is a coup going on in Turkey. My neice is in Istanbul with her husband and kids. Her husband is a Turkish citizen. Please keep her safety in your prayers. She is talking to me via text and says they are keeping the lights off and sitting in the dark. Says they can see jets and helos flying low over the house. Erhan is a member of a well connected family. No political power but, quite wealthy. They spend about a month each summer there with his family. They're in Istanbul getting ready to come home but, now they can't get to the airport. The military is saying they are in control now and have declared marshall law.

Hahaha! I could imagine! Worked out a little differently for me... I had a fairly deep voice by the time I was 16, and that deep southern drawl... no speech therapy for me, but it sure did seem to work on the girls around there. ;) Other than that, I only went to school there for 2 years. I joined the Navy during the summer between my junior and senior years of high school (on the delayed entry program). Two weeks after graduation, I shipped off for boot camp. That's how badly I wanted to get out of there... That was twenty-some-odd years ago, and I ain't been back since!
That's how I joined too. At 17 and reported to boot camp in the middle of the eleventh grade.

Love my new phone, but (don't laugh), I haven't figured out how to answer it. Just missed another call. Anybody know how to answer a call on this thing? Galaxy Amp 2.
If it's like most Samsung phones, touch the green dot and slide it to the right. If you want to ignore the call, touch the red dot and slide it left.

Praying, Kay! It's just a little set back. It will heal.

Prayers already sent and will continue. Please keep us updated.

Here are some pics of the motorhome that I'm forced to sell. Removed the carpet in the "living room" and took out the booth to give more room overall.

A friend and I were just talking (dreaming) about something like that when she retires. Parkin it on the beach and selling crafts etc. I see the perfect spot for a "craft" room lol Wish it were doable now.
