I think she is better then Hendrix but Hendrix was an original sort of but all those great Blues Guitarists before him were the originals.

I can completely understand. I've been very fortunate, in that I have been blessed with relatively good health, myself. Some allergies, never broke a bone or had a stitch until I was in my 30s... no real medical issues at all. But I've learned a lot from watching my Bride handle all of her health issues, and doing my best to help her when and where I can. I honestly cannot imagine myself ever handling such extreme health problems with the grace and strength that she has shown through all of this. She is stronger than I will ever be, and I admire her as much as I love her.

Thank you! And, you are absolutely right... miracles happen all around us, we just neglect to recognize them for what they are.
I'm back at the auto repair shop to get the CVJ boot that they couldn't get until today. There's been a couple of crazy electrical events since they replaced the battery and fixed the windshield washer pump yesterday. Hopefully that won't be a big deal.
But even if it is a HUGE deal, I've got a carefree existence compared to what others are dealing with at this time.

That is great news Kazz, I'm so glad she decided to continue to fight this. I hope this works for her. Are the side effects very bad or are they pretty well tolerable. She's been through the wringer already and I know it took some real courage to do this. She must be one hell of a tough gal.Thank you all so very, very much! The prayers have worked, and we have been blessed with a small miracle. My Beautiful Bride has been accepted into a clinical trial. And not just some brand new trial that rarely has results. This trial has been going on since 2013 and is either considered a "mature" Phase I or some form of a Phase II trial... this is a good thing. She will be getting full therapeutic doses, and they have seen positive results in past patients. It is not a trial of new drugs, but a trial that combines two drugs that have been previously approved by the FDA for other uses. The trial is for the combination of the two. Basically, one of the drugs blocks the cancer cell's ability to process its own waste; so the cell dies from its own toxicity. The other drug targets the cancer cell's DNA and prevents it from being able to split and divide; stops it from reproducing. So the combination of the two drugs prevent them from making new cells, and kills the existing cells. We are both super excited right now!!!

Thank you, Pat. Supposedly, the side effects of these aren't too bad. I don't remember which medications they are, exactly, but they are used to treat other conditions. As I remember, the side effects are mostly fatigue and nausea. They have some very good anti-nausea medications out now. Marinol is the best one she's used so far... and it's a 12hr pill, so you don't have to keep taking it all day long, like some of the others. But the trial drugs don't make hair fall out, or give you rashes or anything like that. The last one she was on made the bottoms of her feet really tender, and the skin on her fingers cracked and peeled. Poor thing couldn't hardly walk, and couldn't even really open her pill bottles on her own because her fingers hurt so much. One of the ones before that caused neuropathy in her hands and feet. They're all pretty bad in some way or another. But you're right, she's been through the wringer, and she's as tough as a ten penny nail! We counted it up, and so far, she's been on seven different chemo medications... and she's about to add two more to that list. And that's not even counting the radiation treatments and the two surgeries... one of which, they cut her open and removed a bunch of her colon and put in a permanent colostomy.
And to think of what a baby I am when I get a splinter in my thumb....

Well my flavorings from Liquid Barn should be here tomorrow. It's weird how stuff from CA takes longer then stuff from NY or FL. I can't wait to try them. I am just going to use the recommended dosage of them and do 30ml of each. I figure you got to give a flavor a good chance plus when you get to the end of the bottle should be very well steeped. Think I'm going to try Baked Cinnamon Roll and Cherry Blossom Tea first but who knows. Since the sun it out might leave them on the window sill but maybe I'll do like my others and just put them on the rack at least overnight
Thank you, Semi! We have pretty strong hopes for this one, but we're continuing to research this trial along with as many others as we can find. Neither of us are willing to put all of our hope into one basket at this point.

It was such good news that we went straight to her mom's after the appointment. Usually we only go over there after we get bad news, because she can't bring herself to giver her mom bad news over the phone. I told her that we should go over there to share the good news in person, for a change. We did, and my Lovely Bride was extremely happy and uplifted during the drive home... well, for about half of it. She slept through the second half of the drive.

You'd be surprised at what you can handle, yourself, when you have no other choice. I like to believe that we are all stronger than we give ourselves credit for; most of us just haven't had our strength tested as rigorously as others.
I hear that. That's the 2 main side effects of the ones I am on but I've found if I take them with food, eat a little take it eat a little more it helps the nausea and the fatigue just take more naps. Sleep is supposed to be good for your body to build it up a little. I am sure that whatever she is taking is stronger then what I am taking. In a clinical trial the meds and follow ups are free right? Plus they do keep a close eye on you. I know that's how it was when they were puting this Sofosbuvir through it.And to think of what a baby I am when I get a splinter in my thumb....
Yep your right and I always take Ginny into the appt with the cardiologist so she can hear and then I can get her input on what he says. Plus sometimes I don't hear everything, stupid hearing and she has ears like whatever it is that has super accute hearing. Plus lately time seems to fly when you don't think about it or try not to, next thing you know it's here. Plus I will have all the tests back about how I am reacting to the treatment by then and that may be good news. I am having a feeling it will be since my beginning Viral Load was so low 126K it makes the cure easier. I have even heard that sometimes it will come back as near 0 at 4 weeks. At least that is one thing my body won't have to be fighting all the time.
