Well, you pretty much just described my dad, before he broke his back. He'd park his Caddy in a handicapped spot at Costco, but he could still walk quite well. His handicapped placard was because of his eyes.
I have one because of my knees. I have good days and bad days. On the bad days it's a lifesaver. Lately I have had many more good than bad days. If this keeps up I won't renew when the time comes next year. I am wondering if it transfers to Florida or am I going to have my new doc write a script for one. The one I have now expires November 2017.

You know every morning I get up around 6am. If I sleep in then 6:30. But I have to wait until after 9am to make noise outside - my neighbors sometimes frown even then...
Up until the last few days we've been getting up around 9 and staying up until around 12:30AM. Last week or so it's been around 7 and still staying up until 12 or so. Working my .... off all day too. No wonder I'm to tired to sleep tonight.:lol:

I've been from Michigan to south Florida and back again. Away for a long while visiting with family and researching for my next book. FYI: Naked Alliances (by S.K. Nicholls) is now available on Amazon in both e-Version and paperback. I'm so excited!!!! It's been two years and a lot of hard work to make this happen. Enjoy!

There were several folk here that wanted to know when it was released....today is the day! Honest reviews are greatly appreciated and help the book move up via Amazon's algorithms. It takes fifty reviews to move into a category where the book will be seen by searchers using specific keywords. reviews can be short and simple or as long as you desire.

Check the classifieds soon for some REOs if you're interested. I'll be posting some soon.
Congrats on the release. It isn't in the Kindle store! :(;)

The words cod, shrimp or any other seafood item should not be used in the same sentence as tacos... You have no idea of how long it took me to accept chicken in a taco - much less some kind of something that came from the sea...
They put all of that stuff on em in Mexico so what's the problem. Shrimp seasoned and fried with a very light tempura like batter served on a puffy taco shell with cabbage slaw and a spicy jalapeno mayo and Mexican cheese is great. Didn't think I'd like em until I tried one and now I can't get enough of em. Highly recommended!:)

Good to see ya! And, CONGRATS on the book!!!!!!

I thought the same thing, but on a soft corn tortilla with a little slaw and some kind of green avocado/tomatillo sauce, it was pretty darn tasty! I usually only eat beef or pork on my tacos, but one of my buddies convinced me to try the fish... I'm actually glad I did! Now I'm wondering if I can come up with some combination that would make for a good crab taco, because I love crab meat!
Love a good shredded beef taco. The ground beef ones are good but, not as good as shredded. Just saying. I actually like the Old ElPaso taco seasoning. We get the kits quite often because they're not bad and are really quick to fix (cheap too!).;)

Actually, the only time I had those types of muscle cramps they were in my calves and only when i was prego!

BTW..doesn't one have to engage in intercourse in order to become prego?

Oops...TMI!
Interwhat? What's that?
I get the muscle cramps in my calves quite a bit. Don't think it means I'm preggers, just that my potassium is low I think.:lol:

Unless you're a sauce, as opposed to being sauced?

I knew that would come up. Should have done it myself.

I'm too far behind to even think about catching up. I hope that everybody is well. After ten days of working like a pack mule, I'm home. They can call me for overtime if they want to this week, but it's not happening.

We had an S92 that was hit by lightning on the flight line, so I was a busy woman while I was at work. It's a HUGE bird. Don't know if you can see this video, but they're on here.

Glad to see you back. Members have been MIA, but we remind the worriers that some are AWOL and choose to be, so let them be. At least we knew where you were.

MacGyver is on tonight. Gotta at least give the pilot show a try. I kind of hope it does not disappoint.

    Yep! Fingers crossed.

Watching it now. Used to love the old show.

    so far...meh

Well, without giving anything away for those who didn't watch, I wasn't thrilled. Didn't need the narrative. They have some development to do.

Agreed. Flashy, techy, no substance, it's a Scopion clone. And i like Scorpion. Can't followup the original.

Yeah, like restart from square one. I want my 43 minutes back!!!

    Reconnoiter and report please.
It was....well it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great. I HATED some of the camera work. It drives me crazy when they start doing the "documentary" style camera work in action scenes. Ya know, the camera bouncing around like it's being carried by someone who's running during a chase, things like that. Just drives me nuts, I Hate it hate it hate it.

And he didn't fix a bullet hole in a radiator using a raw egg, so he can't really be MacGyver.

Okay, my MacGyver report. Well he was not MacGyver. It was kind of a B movie. Enough to keep you watching - hoping it will get better. A bit of over acting and like Kad said not the best camera crew. Will I watch it again - probably. There wasn't much else on!!! If it does not get better - then Friday Nights will be Netflix nights... :) I did like a couple of the things that he pulled off, but some were "Yea right"...

For years, my family and some of my friends have jokingly called me MacGyver. When my daughter was growing up she used to tell her friends that her daddy could fix anything...

One time one of her friends snapped a head off of her favorite Barbie. She told her friend not to worry about it that her daddy could fix it. She still has that Barbie today on display and yes I did fix it - "sort of".

That poor short necked doll was fixed and no at the time my daughter was not to happy for the fix - now she keeps it on display to show off to her friends to let them know that her daddy fixed it...:w00t::lol:

It's a WHOLE lot different from my last book. I hope you're not disappointed. It was a fun project, but tremendous work effort.

Yes, that's what I understood when you were talking about it. It sounded just like the kind of story I'd enjoy reading. You are a natural writer and I feel like I'm right there in the situation you describe. It's nice to have something with some humor to read between serious books.

And he didn't even use duct tape for anything!!!!

The picture I showed you of the "creek" at the park? I looked at it yesterday, and it was much worse than the picture. Like the park was 1/4 under water. More expected on Saturday and Sunday. And this is what is on the schedule for the weekend: cranfest :grr:
hope you stay safe and dry!

No, not really, for some reason the toes on my right foot decided to cramp up off n on all night..I finally gave in ,let them win around 4:00a.m. after pacing thru the house a few times, and just stayed up.
oh dang hun, sorry to hear that. Hope something you took works!

I still need to try some decent shrimp tacos... I finally tried some cod tacos in a local joint the other day, and they were surprisingly good! I didn't expect to like that as much as I did...
I love shrimp tacos. Fish too, but prefer those if the fish is battered and deep fried. With shrimp, don't care if they're battered or not, but actually prefer them just sauteed or grilled.

Hmmmmm.... I have a gas stove, so I may need to try that! I usually cook the meat on a cast iron griddle, so I just toss the tortillas on after the meat is done...
really wish I had a gas stove. You probably know, but that's also a great way to char peppers to peel them. Just put em right on the gas flame, keep turning em. Then put em in a bowl with plastic wrap on top about 20 minutes, to steam em. Peel comes right off. Have often wondered if this would work with maters.

So glad to see you back!!! Miss you tons! Glad NA is out now! I'm really looking forward to the next book, it sounds great!! Hate that you're selling your Reos. I know if I was there, we could get then working great for you, but I totally understand that you need something that is easy and no stress for you. Please hold on to one of em and an atty for your vapocalypse box. And when ya start selling the off, save me one! hehehe

The trip to Michigan was for the new grandbaby right??? Pics??? How come ya ended up going back after you'd gotten home? Hope nothing was wrong

Ever watch the Wallander series on Netflix. It's good.
It's in my list, but I haven't watched it. Does it have any comedy to it, or all just serious?

I call those Wraps - not tacos. At least now I know what you are talking about. We have Wraps all the time - you can put anything into them...
Jup like Kaezz said. Wraps are large flour tortillas, and are closed at the bottom. Seafood tacos (soft) are the small corn tortillas.

Celebrex is wonderful stuff! It's been part of my 'cocktail' for 20 years. I used to take it 2X a day, but with the infusions I only have to take one every few days when the infusion starts wearing off. It makes inflamation pain go poof!
hmmmm they've had me on cymbalta for pain, but I really don't think it's doing anything. will ask about celebrex when I go back to see if that helps.

MacGyver is on tonight. Gotta at least give the pilot show a try. I kind of hope it does not disappoint.
well I have it dvr'd but haven't watched it yet. Now I am disappointed Was really hoping this would be good. I also set This is Us to dvr, but haven't watched it yet. Am really looking forward to this one. Son said that everyone he heard talk about it on FB that saw the first episode really loved it!

I'm too far behind to even think about catching up. I hope that everybody is well. After ten days of working like a pack mule, I'm home. They can call me for overtime if they want to this week, but it's not happening.
Good to see you too hun!! Glad you aren't doing any OT. Get some rest, but hope you can pop in and talk with us while you're off. Do you think you'll like it ok at this base? Hope they don't always just work the crap outta you.

Believe it or not nanners don't actually have that much potassium in them. Whoda thunk it.:)
Jup, can't get enough from nanners.........avocados are one of the highest. They have 30% of the daily requirement of potassium.

now she keeps it on display to show off to her friends to let them know that her daddy fixed it...:w00t::lol:
    awwwwwww that's so sweet!!
