The finger of guilt points pretty quickly back at you and me, which makes it pretty hard to claim that we had some magical qualities that made us superior to subsequent generations.

I don't know about you but I definitely felt I had magical qualities everytime I got a raise/attaboy from whomever I was working. I managed to go from my entry level job of key punch operator to senior IT systems engineer for an international casino franchise by watching and learning.

And furthermore, can somebody defend "Tootle" with the same energy that they're defending "Puffer"?

It's not the Puffer in Tootle Puffer that turns me off, it's the Tootle.

As much as some people hate to hear it, there's not a one of us who got where we are without lots of help and support from OUTSIDE of ourselves.

Bells, you are getting all philosophical this morning (LOL). Everyone gets and needs support, but not all listen to it or hear it differently than the connotation the person giving the advice means. Much like the text we write on these screens - in the writer minds he is saying one thing, but the readers mind is picking up something else - trying to read between lines that are not there.

Shucks, I remember back in the day working at a restaurant making $40.00 a week and paying $30.00 a week rent. Fortunately all utilities were paid in that rent, and I was eating a lot of food from the restaurant AND riding a bicycle to work because I didn't own a car.

But, that was working in a restaurant with tips you didn't declare. Wasn't $40 the base pay?

That's pretty funny reading that in Ethiopia! Just wanted to drop by to tell you all that I'm having a fabulous time and I miss you! We only get WiFi when we sneak into the local hotel, but they know us well by now and don't even make us go through the metal detectors anymore. I'll check in when I get back to Texas next week. I had a Cinco de Mayo previous engagement yesterday night, so, since I knew Google had not yet perfected the Cyber Margarita (although I hear they are working on it), I was unable to attend what sounds like the Spring Cotillion of 2015 .. however, I was thinking of all of you and I'm happy that you are happy ..

One of my favorite groups. They have a precision to their music that I just love. I have about half of their albums in vinyl but, still listen to most digitally. Morning Willie, I did miss you last night. As they say "conspicuous in your absence."

Yeah, I about wore out "Crime of the Century" on vinyl .. and as you probably know, for some odd reason, Steely Dan produced some of the absolute best precision as well as audio clarity .. always great demo material on a good system if you want to impress someone ..
