I just saw a TV program saying Robin Williams had been mis-diagnosed with Parkinson's when in fact he actually had Lewy body dementia. It really depressed me as my dear friend and cohabitee was diagnosed with Parkies 3 years ago (aged 38!) but has just been told that she's got to have a week's intensive investigation as they think they may have misdiagnosed her. I dread to think what they're going to say this time as the depression and mood swings Robin suffered seem horribly close to home.
Anyways, I came here for a bit of light relief and saw:

Don't ask me why it just cracked me up. Howled out loud. Please keep that kind of stuff coming iffy and Kim B, I think I'm going to need it.

Never heard of Lewy body dementia. Is that better or worse? Surely there is something that can be done to help?

Have you talked with your doc about this sleep (or rather non-sleep) thing you're going through? It's not good to have this much trouble sleeping! Is it possible that a medication you're taking is causing it? Have you had your thyroid checked? I worry about you having so much trouble.
In answer to your questions, yes I have and am having a continuous conversation with my doctor about it. We've tried just about everything available to no avail so far. I think you all are right and it's related to stress over the move. Mainly how long it's taking and what a massive change it's going to be. We'll see after it's complete. Looks like that's going to be sometime in July.
Thanks everybody for your concern and allowing me to vent about it. I know it's not good for me. I have thought about finding a counseling solution but, don't even really know where to start. Also if we're moving in July I really don't want to break one in just to move away.
Just let the Hangout. First time I've been there in a while. Had a great time.

Heading up to bed here shortly. Had a really good day and got quite a bit done. We'll be painting the primer in the kitchen tomorrow. Should be done in the kitchen by Wednesday at the latest then we move upstairs to the bedrooms. Making progress and finally the end is in sight. See you all in the morning. Those staying up have a great evening and I hope the rest have a great nights sleep. I think I am going to sleep ok tonight. Just feels right.
Night folks.

That's my fun lovin gal Crystal and the main man in my life Mr vape. I'm kinda like the meat in that sandwich if you know what I mean.

And yep that's a Glock G19. Us old burnouts aren't known for having steady hands but I do OK with it.

I recognized the boxy Glock shape ... but looking at the casings I was guessing 9mm or maybe 40. I had a Glock in 40 S&W. Got rid of it for a Sig Sauer 229 in 20 cal. Nothing wrong w/ a Glock but I really like the Sig much better.

Cool, used to do a lot when I was young, but as I got into bifocals, trifocals, non focals I gave it up... My uncle used to get us to use apples swinging on a string for practice.

ha! The most fun I had shooting' was at the local dump. Nothing more fun then plinking cans and watching glass bottles explode. Ah, for the good old days when a kid could have fun at the dump. Now the only dump around is actually a big box type store called "The Dump" selling discount furniture.

Welcome Brvfan! A day late and a dollar short, but wanted to make sure you found a comfy seat. Watch out for the ratty looking recliner though, that's Uncle Willie's.

Are you new to vaping?
Thanks for the welcome. I have been vaping since November and also smoke free since then. Never thought I would quit smoking but once I starting vaping I never went back. Love the porch

I like SIGs but my thumb always ends up resting on the slide release while shooting. Even after I noticed the problem and made a conscious effort to not let my thumb get up there, it continued to be a problem. I hear it's the same with the new striker fired SIG, too. Can't have that in a defensive firearm so no SIGs in my holster. I guess I'm more of a Beretta 92 fan if we're talking DA/SA triggers. SIG has their fans, though. Same with Glocks. Getting a G43 to carry whenever the local shop gets some in.

edit:

I actually do have a SIG. Haven't had it out in years but your post made me want to take it out and play with it. :w00t:

It's an oldie, stamped 10/79 on the slide. Detail stripped it and reassembled with all new pins and springs. Put some Hogue G10 grips and night sights on it. I'll keep it but it's not the shooter my G19 is.

There's been more new people show up than I can welcome individually. I hope you all feel at home here and that any hardships you are enduring soon come to an end.

ohhhhh loved the SRV video, but forgot to open it in youtube, so when I went to the next page it cut off :( ......but was no issue at all to listen to it all over again!

Seems like Porchers are having trouble getting to sleep. I wonder if it has anything to do with vaping 24mg juice. :w00t:
Once in awhile I have issues where I don't sleep many hours at a time, but I usually sleep at least 8 hrs, just at odd times. So the 24 doesn't mess with me. Sometimes I don't sleep well at first, but that's due to pain.

Thanks for the welcome. I have been vaping since November and also smoke free since then. Never thought I would quit smoking but once I starting vaping I never went back. Love the porch
Glad you feel at home here.....you'll have to join us in a hangout some night. Just need a google + account, which you most likely already have.
