OK, how in God's green earth does one start a "conversation" around here. I'm really not software illiterate, but this software here is NOT super user friendly.
If you click on the picture (avatar) of the person you want to PM (start a conversation) in the dialog/info box that pops up there will be a selection called amazingly enough "Start a Conversation". Click on it and away you go. There are other ways too but, that's the one I normally use. Hope that helps

Um, yep, I get that, BUT, I looked for that "Start a Conversation" box, and didn't see it. I think it is entirely possible that I am blind in one eye and can't see out the other one.

OH HELL!! Nevermind. I see it now.

Still have to figure out what I'm spraying for. Some kind of grub or such I imagine. Might even be moles or voles. Dog is awfully interested in the front lawn when I take her out. Smells something under there for sure. If it's moles you treat with Milky Spore. Kills the grubs the moles eat. I think the grubs eat the roots of the grass. Lawn was just starting to look good too.
Moles are carnivores... Or insectivores... They don't eat grass or roots.
However, they do "dirt dive" for grubs.
If you have large areas of soft dirt in your lawn, you have moles.
If you have tunnels near the surface, they will go from one dirt dive location to another, so may just be passing through on the way to the neighbors.

Not knowing what the brown patches look like, they could be a mould, grubs, or even someplace that neighborhood animals use as a bathroom. They also could be annual die-off, areas of low wind flow, or even places that need more watering.

Those were my first thoughts-- excess nitrogen from animal urine, or grubworms. The grubworms would be easy to diagnose. Then I looket at google for the symptoms, and fungus/mold seemed most likely.

Not a fungus. I'm thinking grub worms too. Not just my yard and different species of grass.

Finished the fourth chapter. Trying to accomplish at least one a day and this one was started last night...uh, this morning.

Taking a break and thought I would transfer my nicotine from the wide mouth jar to the 4 ounce bottles. A bit nervous about this. Wish I had a thirty ml syringe. I could wait until one of my nurse friends can bring me one, or I could proceed without one. I am so much more comfortable with syringes than pouring into a funnel.
