Welcome to the Back Porch! Home to some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I absolutely love it here. Don't really spend much time anywhere else. Pull up a rocker and make yourself comfortable, tell us about yourself. What ya vaping, where you from etc. I'm sure you know the front porch is mostly vaping related but, back here almost anything goes. Have fun and welcome again.

electric was out for about an hour i hate it when that happens

I set up the coffee pot on the timer before we go to bed. So, yesterday our contractor had the elec off for a short time and I forgot to reset the timer. Mike came downstairs in the middle of the night and found the coffee being made. Of course, by the time we got up it was cold, but we still have the stove hooked up so we could at least heat it up. Poor stove looks lonely sitting there all by itself.

Janet, are y'all takin pics of the progress along the way?

Yep we are. We'll post a before and after when it comes together. We'll be painting tomorrow morning and then the cabinets arrive in the afternoon. When the cabinets are in, the granite guys show up. Hopefully it's the crew that sets up the laser level in middle of the kitchen to take measurements

No, but I felt like it most of the day. Went to bed last night around 11:30pm and woke a bit before 5am this morning. Couldn't get back to sleep - so I did my 'porch work'.

I am pleased to introduce, drum roll please -

Bijou Luisant Kontinuing Mission, we will call him Geordi. This is Bijou Luisant's 11th litter, thus the letter K. All our dogs have had Star Trek theme names, thus Kontinuing Mission. It is also a continuing mission for Bijou Luisant. I won't pick him up til next Monday since he does not have all his shots and we have a dog show to work this weekend. Not worth the health risk, but I visited with him this afternoon and got some nice pictures. Now let's see if I can do this....

I'll never forget the first time in Google Hangouts. I felt like a deer in headlights.

It's not quite so bad now. I do really love to watch and listen, to see the faces and hear the voices of those I've known so long. But, I really don't feel I have much to say. And, that just seems rude.

I realize the hangout is there and I like going into it. Matter of fact, I spent quite a while there yesterday. I want to note that not everyone on the porches go, like or can use the hangout and we need to guard against thinking everyone knows what was talked about. In other words don't forget to post here or forget your friends here.
